Can you please tell us how Campbell is feeling after last night's game? I think everyone would really like to know.

Hows Marner feeling? Maybe we should sit him out? No one knows how he’s feeling, right?

You ride Soup if he can play .. he is better tender and he wins .. if he is not right and he tells Keefer that of course you play Freddy as you have no other choice

There's risk in going with a tired, relatively unproven starter too though

There's even more risk playing a goaltender that's played one full NHL game in two months.

Campbell is .951% and 1.31 GAA in 3 playoff games. He's .921% and 2.15 GAA in 22 games in the regular season.

He had a .928% in 31 games in 2019.

How much more does he have to prove to get a start over Mr. .895% and 2.96 GAA Andersen in 24 games this season?

Not happening.

I guess I can take that as you have no idea how our #1 G, who has been injured much of the season, and needed a maintenance day after his last start, is feeling after a heavy workload last night.

We all want Campbell in the net, but there may be a reason not to start him tonight.

It would easier to admit that you hadn't fully thought through your post about there being no reason not to start him rather than using that weak sauce Marner comparison.

we are talking about goalies who have a long history of getting injured

jack should start but if hes not 100% i would understand the logic.

I want Campbell to start but considering Campbell missed practice after game 1 and has been dealing with the knee issue most of the season, Andersen probably starts tonight. And boy am I nervous

I will repeat, there is no reason to start Freddie tonight

Just as I can’t say if Campbell is injured, you can’t say that he is. What a dumb take

Campbell.

Unless he is injured in a way it'd be detrimental to his play, this shouldn't be a question. Starting Andersen simply because it's a back-to-back would be a fireable offence in my eyes (yes, that's hyperbole, but just want to point out the sheer stupidity of the thought).

Why NHL coaches need to revisit the idea that goalies shouldn’t start on back-to-back nights

Campbell should be good to go. If he's incapable of playing b2b then we're certainly never going to win with him in net.

If he gets lit up then our bagillion dollar forwards will have to light up Price too.

Has he been injured this season ?
Have the Leafs taken extra precautions to manage his workload this season?
Did the Leafs give him a maintenance day recently as 4 days ago?
Did Campbell face a heavy workload in the 3rd period last night?

Do you understand the meaning of the word "may" ?

I trust Sheldon. He is in the room with the boys, he'll have a good idea who gives us the best shot tonight. If it is Freddy, I think the Freddy haters on here have to remember that its not like we are going to hutch. Fred is a fully capable goalie. I fully agree that he is no longer a goalie I would like to rely on, but he can get us a W on any given night. At the end of the day, if the team in front of him plays well this will be end up being a fart in the breeze. If it were me, I'd go with Freddy unless Jack has made a point to go to the staff and says he wants the game. Jack has played outstanding thus far and deserves the right to decide if he wants it. But if I'm looking beyond this game, Going to Freddy is likely the wiser choice. Sure Jack gives us a better chance at winning this game, but a fresh Jack gives us the best chance in a best of 3 should we lose tonight. And lets be real, we should be able to win with Freddy in the cage.

If I'm Keefe, this is not even an issue unless Campbell indicates that it is.

Give Campbell the day off from practice and leave it at that.

If Jack is reset and ready to go it's a no brainer...Jack.

The post-game comment by Reilly echoed the team, he is the quiet voice of the team especially when Tavares is out. He gave full credit for the win to Jack, called him a warrior etc.

Anderson

Give Jake the day off, we need him for the rest of the playoffs.

I'd start Freddy. Campbell is the better goalie, but tonight isn't a must win and save your number 1 goalie for must wins. Also you don't want to cause injuries to Campbell by overworking him.
