There is logic to both sides of this.

Campbell is playing like a man possessed so it's difficult to sit someone who is so clearly on fire and on his A game, having said that, he will be the key to us having a long run so the question has to be asked, how much is this back to back going to hurt him long term? If at all?

The other Canadian teams lived and died by their started so i wouldn't be surprised to see Campbell get the call again so we have our best chance at ending them Thursday.

Andersen makes sense in regards to resting campbell for a very long playoff run, gets him into the game and series in case anything happens, but the more i write all this out i really believe Campbell will be in net now, to try and squeeze the life out of the canadiens.

But again, its up to how Campbell is feeling for sure.

it the team plays like it did the 5 periods prior to the 3rd last night it wouldn't matter if we started Ayers

if we play like we did in the 3rd last night then we can be thankful we're playing an severely offensively challenged team like the Habs

I don't typically like to run with the same goalie on a back-to-back. The playoffs are obviously a different situation from a regular season game though. There's also the fact Montreal played last night too! Although having a series lead does allow for some flexibility here, I'd probably still go with Campbell. We'll see what Keefe decides to do.

I’ll just take the starter, unless Jack is injured, play him, if we were up 3-0 then I’d say Fred cuz the pressure wouldn’t be all on him

There shouldn't even be the slightest thought of starting Losersen. It's gotta be Campbell all the way. He can handle one back to back.

Can’t believe how many votes for rittich are in here. Anderson injured is better then rittich. Anderson healthy is too.

rittich was not very good for us in the games he played

I expect it will be Campbell. But people shouldn't think it's a foregone conclusion. Keefe has shown a lot of faith in Freddy before his injury this season. I don't think he feels the same as the fanbase, like Andersen is some automatic loss.

The fact is, lots of teams will use 2 goalies at some point in the playoffs. And this is as "good" a time as any to give a start to Andersen. No reason to overwork Jack.

it all depends if Jack can handle it. He has been favoring his leg in games. This decision is just based on long term health of all parties involved. No need to put Jack in a tough spot if hes skipping practices after every start.

I would definitely start Freddy.

No reason to risk losing Campbell to injury. Hasnt played back to back all season. We are up a game, in the drivers seat, and Freddy wants to show he belongs.

Its not like the team hasnt played with Freddy before. They have confidence in him.

He just needs a shot.

Put Freddy in net. I predict a shutout tonight.

Keefe said the decision on scratching Foligno was made after the forward tried to take the warmup after missing the morning skate, and that he is day to day and likely a game-time decision for Tuesday. "He ultimately thought he would be hurting the team, so we just made the decision to give him the night off," Keefe said

If Campbell is 100%, its ok to do what Foligno did.

Rittich has a better save% and also is less bad in terms of goals saved above expected

Funnily enough, Hutchinson is better than both.

Every single metric shows Andersen is the worst of the 4.

You want to risk Andersen letting in softies and allowing the series to be tied, in order to prevent Campbell from maybe getting tired in a couple weeks?

I think your risk assessment needs work.
If we can’t beat this sack of shit Montreal team with Freddie in net then we shouldn’t worry about a long play off run anyway smart ass.
