I’m ok with trading Mathews, Marner and Taveres. They’re good regular season type of players but do not excel well in the playoffs.

Nylander is the type of player you want to keep in the playoffs, has the speed and skill and not afraid to attack the net to create chances.

Mathews situation is the first domino. If we won't sign or want more than $12.5MM he goes then I move one of Nylander or Marner. Tavares is impossible to move.

Do any come back. Honestly, if I were them I would f*** off pretty quickly. Who wants to waste your years playing for a loser franchise?

I do want us to resign O'Rielly, Kampf, Acciari, Bunting if cheap, Schenn if min contract.

I don’t know what is going to happen with management or players (I know what I’d like) but this core won 1 series in 7 years (and it can be argued and debated that Tampa gave it away as much as we won it) and quickly eliminated by the lowest playoff point team in round 2. We were almost just round 2 spectators in the playoffs.
For me, this team hasn’t earned any respect as a playoff core and really need to prove that they just aren’t a blind squirrel.
Do they stay together and lose in the first round again next year? Who really knows with this tean.
