One is a RFA and one is a UFA. Not even asking who DESERVES more, but who will get a bigger contract and what might both look like? Usually UFA's get a bigger deal than RFA's but I think it will be opposite here and wrong.

I think Chychrun will get close to 9 AAV and I think Bouchard will shoot for around 11. Will be interesting to see what these two and what Dobson get. Cap couldn’t have projected much better for them over 3 years or at a better time for them.

Bouchard. Imo Chychrun has been on different clubs and finally has one that’s a winner and there he fits. He will sign a long term deal at a team friendly cap hit to stay where he is. The Oilers don’t have a pp guy to replace what Bouchard does. He’s getting 80 + million there.

He has 0 PP goals this year. That is amazing. How can you pay him that much when he can be a turnover machine and if he isnt a monster on the PP, which he has played over 50 games this year with that group and has 0 goals.

Do the Pilers have any choice but to pay top dollar to keep Bouchard though?

Sure, you can trade him. I am not saying he would be easy to replace but with 10 million dollars you should be able to get a decent PP specialists and a top 4 D-man.
