As a Pens fan I was going to throw Crosby's name into the mix. I thought Sid had a decent tournament this go around, but then I noticed Malkin has the better international record. Better Olympic record and way more GP for Geno, and he has a WC MVP as well. I'd say he's been stellar internationally.

Are pretty good places to start.
Hossa and Heatley spring to mind as guys before this decade but recent who were also darn good for their country.
Mostly guys who padded their stats by playing against inferior competition.

^10 Senior medals.. insane.
When you start looking at post NHL involvement Olympic records PPG over a few tourneys is a serious achievement...
Guys with 1PPG+ in 10 or more individual Olympic games played:
Hossa: 28 in 19. 1.47 PPG
Demitra: 20 in 15. 1.33 PPG
Sundin: 20 in 16. 1.25 PPG
Koivu: 23 in 20. 1.15 PPG
Selanne: 32 in 29. 1.10 PPG
Hull: 11 in 10. 1.10 PPG
Alfredsson: 27 in 26. 1.04 PPG
Bure: 12 in 12. 1.00 PPG
That is a seriously short list considering how many amazing players have played in multiple Olympics... I mean, by my count around 150 forwards have played in 10+ Olympic games since 98.
Ehm, this numbers are from 1998 onwards...Agreed, but I would adjust for the fact that some of those Olympics were not best-on-best tournaments, eg 1992 and 1994 winter games.

Note the clarification by the OP (see thread title): This is not about earlier players like Kharlamov or even Robert Reichel. It's about current players.
Mozyakin has always been a disappointment on the international stage. He doesn't belong here.Sergei Mozyakin
And "only" 57 points in 63 games on adult level. I agree that Forsberg was great though. He has an unbelievable 116 points in 87 games for Sweden, including a record 31 points in 7 games at the World Junior Championship of 1993.
Homer vote for Eberle. The guy loves the big ice.
