I'm mainly talking about the evening papers, Aftonbladet and Expressen. Yes, I have been in Finland and no, I do not know the majority of the Finns in the world as you obviously do. Sorry for not making that completely clear as I realize there is a big risk of misunderstanding.
I'll try to do better in the future and include a disclaimer in everything I write.

That last thing regarding Flashback? Completely true. Every human who isn't a white man from the north and a racist gets thrown under the bus. Every woman who doesn't agree with their simplistic views are called w*ores.
Doesn't matter if you are black, brown, a Sami, Russian, Spanish, Turk or Persian etc. You only get shit no matter what. Imagine being so privileged, more or less free from wars, education for everyone and a lot of benefits that many people around the world miss. Another funny thing is when some swedes (like that floorball player) criticize Finnish coffee brands like Paulig and the light roasted coffee beans. Some consider it to be watery and coffee for sissi*s and so on. But... If you deep dive and make your research you will understand that the best coffee often are lightly roasted. A lot of Ethiopian coffee for example, because a dark roast mutes a lot of the flavor. So what's the point in burning the beans? Actually, the worst f*cking coffee in this world is Skånerost. It tastes sour, bitter and burnt, pure cat piss. But hey, every human has different preferences and taste buds, this is just my opinion.

Sweden is the most internationally influentual Nordic country though, across the board. I'm not saying that boastfully - it's just a fact that bigger countries have more influence and a bigger profile. Look at England vs the rest of the UK, USA vs Canada and so on.

For example, a Finnish tv show would never get primetime slots in Sweden the way Solsidan did in Finland. That would be incredibly odd in a way that doesn't apply in reverse apparently.

Perhaps some deeper questions, like the fact that the British empire has favored the english population the most? Or the fact that Sweden compared to both Norway and Finland have suffered less from wars etc? Things that affect a nations economy and often the welfare of the population? Perhaps some deeper questions, like the fact that the British empire has favored the english population the most? Or the fact that Sweden compared to both Norway and Finland have suffered less from wars etc? Things that affect a nations economy and often the welfare of the population? Yesterday I got a ranting and degrading comment out of the blue from one of the veteran Canadians ( 40-50000 + posts) posters here over my not so perfect English, in the Sweden -Russia thread.. This is from someone who "sets the tone" here. He is obviously an arrogant individual. Its a shame theese (petty and small minded Canadians) are the main influensers of the hf boards

Nah couldn't agree. Ethnically/culturally Danes, Norwegians and Swedes may be closer to each other in general but if you scratch the surfice a little, Finns won't differ much. And Finland is relatively big country so is it is good to have it part of this ''union''.

Finland and Estonia have the language link (and even then don't understand each other) but otherwise Finland is much, much, much closer to the Scandinavians. Arguably Finland is more similar to Sweden than Denmark and Norway are, I've heard Swedes make that claim themselves.

When we - SMJK- were down in San Marino for a football-qualifier years and years ago they actually played the Estonian national-anthem instead of the Finland one; the same tune; except for the fact that the Finland one has words in it!

That's history. If it didn't have to do with size Germany wouldn't be the biggest economy in Europe right now. If you bombed Sweden to smithereens a la Germany 1945, it would still turn back into the biggest Nordic economy in a couple of decades.

I think the observations are correct.

Canada: Huge fanbase, alot of drunken teenagers feeling hockey supremacy in their blood like a puck eating werewolf. Terrible combination. Canadian drunken teenagers and consistently drunken man children. I have news for you: Hockey isn't Canada's game. It was kind of invented there, but that's not a good catch phrase to cheer for anything. It only makes you look like arrogant douchebags, which Canadians hates, but secretly cry out in hockey like some release valve for being so irrelevant in everything. That's a good sign, but you're indoctrinated to hate it, from.. guess which culture? *sober music*

That patriotic, ignorant yelling automatically makes you the most vocal douchebags out there. Well earned 1st place. Bar none. Both in quality and quantity. It's like Canadians imagine hockey is about national pride in some weird way that doesn't matter. Victims of being neighbours to total manicacs, I would say.

Finland: So extremely patriotic, with its extreme core of total patriots cheering for ANYTHING Finnish and hating ANYTHING Swedish, kind of. Very obnoxious, Finnish teenagers have the same problem Canada has. Zero humility. Too many of them. And they hype every Finnish prospect like nobody else.

USA: Pure arrogance over how no international games matter until their teams can finally find a national identity that will make them competitive. They have all skill but they are unable to work as a team as true Muricans. And US fans will blame this on anything but their self destructive culture.

Russia/ Sweden: Same, really, except for Russian fans have a bigger contingent of nationalists and idiots. Both Russian and Swedish fans will complain about the refs, but Swedish fans will focus all their anger towards Canada. The #1 boss in their minds. And Swedish fans are convinced Canadian hockey is focusing on them.
