I don't know which is 2nd most annoying after Canada but I'll tell you for sure the Czechs have the most beautiful women (and the Canadians the least)

I personally don't like the looks of Czech women or European women in general. Canadian and American women are where it's at.

Narrow-minded minority of swedes point fingers towards immigrants and see them as peaseants. Instead of questioning people like Barbara Bergström. A complete nutter who transfers away a lot more of the Swedish tax money to the States and makes a fortune from "Engelska Skolan". She's just as a big criminal as some teenagers from the suburbs, or actually, a lot bigger. As long as those young lost children don't use weapons and threat others that is.
You should start to reflect a bit more perhaps? How come you don't judge all Swedes, Americans and Germans? When an individual like Barbara Bergström is a burden for the Swedish society? How come you don't judge every citizen from Montenegro after reading about Batjlans affairs?
Or is it that you just believe that some nationalities are less worth? Or what is your problem?
Just like a big minority of swedes like to consider Russians individuals as dumb just because of Putin or other politicians and presidents. Should others do the same? Just look at Kristersson and his affairs. Finagled with his apartment and when he adopted his children from China. Should we judge every Moderat or every "Ethnical" swede?

No, I disagree. Certain culture? Then you expect that every individual from a certain culture should be in a special way compared to others and that´s not seeing and treating individuals as individuals in my opinion. Finland and Estonia have the language link (and even then don't understand each other) but otherwise Finland is much, much, much closer to the Scandinavians. Arguably Finland is more similar to Sweden than Denmark and Norway are, I've heard Swedes make that claim themselves.

Well, considering the historical structures of the society, this actually is pretty much so - Swedish law, Swedish local administration, Swedish type civil service, even Swedish, still, as the other "National language". In comparison Denmark was much more feudal and Central European in character and landownership had quite different structures. This coming from a history major, so I really notice these deep structural things Though of course, Scandinavians still feel much closer together due to the language, but the utter Nordicity of Finland is beyond dispute.

Curiously, ever since the 1920's and 30's our national radicals have wanted to undermine and belittle this Nordic inheritance and very obvious character of Finland - they have preferred to find connections to Germany, to Estonia, to Eastern Karelia etc. - and in a very curious modern twist some of the most extreme today, you really would not have guessed it, Russia... Go figure. But you can't change history: we are as Nordic as you can get

Thanks for the concern. I´m quite privileged thank you, but I do have friends with foreign parents and they have some disgusting experiences to tell. One friend got harassed by the police and pushed down the ground when he was on his way to Stockholm University. Why? Because his looks. He has a Swedish mother and his father is from Asia (even if that should be irrelevant). He's born and raised in Sweden as well.
But this thread isn't about me or my experiences.
My point? We don't have to be the victim to see others and understand their experiences and that all these generalizations are getting outdated.

I also want to hand a dishonorable mention to Norwegian fans. Not hockey fans in particular, but rather winter sports fans, which is almost every Norwegian.

Unfortunately, I was living and working in Oslo during the 2010 Winter Olympics and it’s just a nightmarish experience. You realize how much the Winter Olympics simply are a festival celebrating niche Norwegian interests, and a two week national circle jerk I was caught in the middle of.

Each morning clocking in at work the Norwegians confronted me with some smug “congratulations on the singular gold/silver/bronze, we won five”, I didn’t even f***ing know because no one cares in the rest of the entire world, did you see the hockey game or not? Your team actually put up a fight against Sweden in a sport more than two countries are competitive in, you should pat yourselves on the back for that instead of trying to signify the Nordic Combined to me.

I thankfully had a nice refuge from the national psychosis in my neighborhood sports pub run by a Cape Verdean named Orlando. He was on vacation but had instructed the personnel that there’s a hard no to everyone requesting them showing the winter games. More than one lusekofte decorated, luve wearing jerkass lost their shit and went into a screaming falsetto at the poor barkeep, but they stood their ground on behalf of Orlando and his soccer loving patrons.

i wish theyd start counting a medal for each member of a team, rather than one. 20 hockey players earn one medal, one skier can earn 5 alone.

It might get Norway more into developing hockey, too.

They do. Especially in the eastern parts. But it's among their biggest trading partners so they keep the relationship up.
