Whatever you think is fair. What are you giving up for him?

As hard as it is to find a guy scoring 90-100 points, its not automatic he does it elsewhere. See Huberdeau. To answer your question, Compher/Edvinsson/Danielsson/Augustine/1st round pick. If they're serious about moving Pettersson I think Canucks think about this offer. Hurts to lose Edvinsson and maybe this years early 1st but yeah, 100 pt players don't grow on trees.
I think Canucks have to accept a little less if they are the ones "souring" on him in that sense if they think his big salary don't take them closer to a cup.Whatever you think is fair.
This is my big issue with him. That he seems to be "easy rattled" under pressure or taken out somewhat easy. Even though yes despite of that he got pretty decent numbers. But, so got the Maple Leaf stars and where are they in their SC hunt? Not much closer despite solid players on paper for majority of the year.and weak on the puck against heavy defensive pressure.
I don't know. But why exactly did we have to have Copp. It's not like he was the missing piece to make us a contender or even a playoff team.I enjoy how you just completely ignored the question in @Lazlo Hollyfeld's second sentence. But I'm curious: Do you really think Yzerman gave Copp 5 years when he could've gotten him for shorter?

Copp is just one example of a contract I don't like. Explain to me how we got up to the salary cap ceiling with a team that isn't going to compete for a Stanley Cup and very likely won't make the playoffs.
Got it. We don't have center depth so over pay smh.Because the Wings had no center depth and there weren't a lot of them available.

Yeah, when you don't have a coveted commodity and your only option to get it is free agency you tend to have to pay for it.
Basically, or you don't get it and your team is even worse. Which doesn't even matter in terms of the lottery because it's literally a gamble... Copp is basically unseasoned mash potatoes. Not fancy, not appealing but it fills a big part of the line up (meal).
Just keep an eye on Elias Pettersson and if they turn on him soon in Vancouver, make a deal.
*Sips coffee*
Andrew Copp is on pace for a career year in goals and the second most points of his career.
Another thing I don’t get is when Yzerman decided to become obsessed with UM hockey players from the mid 2010 teams. He can’t seem to get enough of those players from those teams
It worked with the 80s Red Army team. We had one, and then added more because the one was pretty good.Another thing I don’t get is when Yzerman decided to become obsessed with UM hockey players from the mid 2010 teams. He can’t seem to get enough of those players from those teams
Idk what this totally means but idk why they woulnd't want a 100 point player with back to back years with selke votes.Do the Red Wings need another soft perimeter player?
Yzerman is obviously very set in his ways.
He prefers two-way, Swiss army knife type players — that are decent at most everything — but not great at anything.
The team looks exactly like that, very meh and boring. I think I theory it sounds good, but maybe it's not actually going to work in today's NHL.
He chose to "balance" the team by picking the exact same players. We are very one dimensional because of that. And again, boring.
What worries me is he seems incapable of adapting to something different — and we'll be a solid .500 team until he's eventually run out of town.

i bet yzerman smokes mids tooIt’s pretty wild that there are people out there that think something that functionally amounts to “yzerman prefers lesser players more than great players”
Weird comment considering Yzerman traded for Alex Debrincat, just signed UFA Tarasenko, and reupped Patty Kane.
