When would you blow it up?

When would you commit to a complete rebuild?

Think so also. But thinking of contract status, it may not be. Change of scenery and shake up is needed for both. WE NEED CHANGE.

Change for change sake is rarely a good idea.

There should be no players that are beyond dealing at this point. But, the Sabres need to make trades that improve the team. Reinhart for Bennett makes the Sabres markedly worse in every conceivable way.

Reinhart has better possession numbers and offensive production. The only place where Bennett looks better on paper is that he is cheap right now against the cap. But, that is for a reason.

Bennett is producing less offensively this season than Lazar and Reider are.

Giving up a top 6 forward for a bottom 6 forward is not the move the Sabres need.

Not for nothing dude, but this is one of the worst takes I've ever seen on here or anywhere else. Too many points to counter so I'll just say, worst post ever.

Imagine saying this while also saying we should trade Reinhart for Bennett lmao

My post was purely speculative on if we blew it up, not that I currently am for doing so. We are getting close though depending entirely on Eichel.

Honestly, I barely care anymore. I used to love the Sabres and get super invested in them, but it's the same story every year. The players barely seem like they care, so why should I? This team was more watchable in 2015. If at some point they start playing like they care again, I might start caring again too.

Yesterday. My give a s$&t meter for this team is zero. I have stopped watching the games. A decade without the playoffs is a complete joke and I don’t see anything within this organization that points to this turning around soon. Blowing it all up has to include ownership, front office, the whole thing. This hasn’t been working in a long, long, long time.

Reinhart is undervalued on this team.. The margin and differentiation between talent is razor thin w cap parity.. A step slow physically and thinking from not playing 10 months and another layoff without practice is huge..

Add questionable goaltending and bad puck luck and posts. Its Armageddon here..

Chill. Tonight or the 20th this team will start to click qnd the goals will come.. I don't think anyone is checked out.. Gripping sticks and obsessively over thinking more likely.

Cozens attitude alone may drag us to respectability and still in the conversations after 20 more games.. W 24 to go.. C'mon..

I don't even care anymore...it's all just so exhausting at this point seeing so many different GMs, coaches, and players fail...and not just fail, only 1 team wins the cup every year...but they look completely incompetent and frankly embarrassing. More often then not they look like a team that doesn't even belong in this league, just completely outclassed in every way.

After a decade of no playoffs and finally getting high draft picks we don't look any closer to even being good enough to be on the playoff bubble. Never mind being a playoff team, and certainly no where near being a cup contender.

I haven't missed a game in 15 years and this season is the last straw...not just because they're losing, but because of how crappy they look, how they lack any grit, have no fight in them, and just play with no pride.

I'll watch this season play out since I've already paid for the NHL package (Argh!!) but if they don't show significant improvement and make the playoffs I'm out.

I'm not going to watch or give 2 shits about this team until they prove they've turned a corner. I'll look at the standings and check in here every so often to see how they're doing but I'm not wasting any more time or money on this crap.

The first move should be to launch anyone who thought trading ROR was a good idea into the sun, then launch multiple nuclear warheads along the same path to ensure that they can't come back

The second move should be to fire Krueger and hire Boudreau

The third move should be to implement a ban on any Eichel trades until he's a year from UFA

The fourth move should be to trade for a goalie upgrade over Hutton

You can't fire ownership.

Unless they are being directly coached to play an offensive style of low-event / low-danger / low-chance hockey.

Right. I guess my post wasn't clear, but I entirely put that on coaching. A coach might not be able to do anything to mask/fix our goalies, but that forward group (not to mention Dahlin) should be able to keep up with almost anyone in a pond hockey scoring-fest.

Bwahahahaa touche! Fair is fair lol. It's just our frustrations with this team. Reaching for straws now. I'm so disappointed with the state of things and don't see it improving without a shake up.

Excellent job calling me out on that!!

No, but we can hope they sell the team and focus on the Bills!

This is my plan and it has been my plan for about 2 years now.

I keep telling myself they are going to sell.

They have pretty much destroyed the franchise. Only thing they haven't done is move the team.

Our best hope for any saving grace is a Sabres icon comes forward and shakes and slaps the Pegula to wake up, aka what Lafontaine did, and stand aside and allow someone else to oversee the next build.

Blow it all the way up including the arena.

If you want Eichel we want your top two prospects, 1st round pick AND you take Skinner.

Trade Reinhart, Risto, McCabe, Girgs, anyone who has been here for all this failure.

Move Hall and Staal for picks and prospects.

But it means nothing if a competent NHL front office and coaching staff is not in place.

The status quo cannot continue but you need a grand slam on an Eichel trade.
