Living in Europe I don't think I'll watch many regular season games. Maybe two or three at the start of the season to watch the new players. Won't renew my nhl.tv subscription.

I stopped watching after the Leafs choked away the series against the Bruins in 2019.

You may recall, it was where they held a lead in the series THREE times.

1-0
2-1
3-2

Yet still managed to choke it away in 7. Since then I just checked the scores here and there on my phone, but never actually watched.

I didn’t watch any games this season either, even when the Leafs were up 3-1 against Montreal, still didn’t watch. I knew the inevitable choke was coming…and I was right.

Overall just lost interest in the NHL altogether, I’ll catch the odd game with other teams, but the only hockey I actually watch full games is international these days.

Can count on Canada not to choke.

I will probably always watch the Leafs because they are my team…….that’s part of the problem why this entitled core don’t feel they have to pick it up in the playoffs. They know the building will always be full so why should they give a shit……they are being paid insane contracts before they have even won anything including a single round.
They just run to the bank every week and it’s F you to the loyal fans

I cure my season Leafs depression through the summer months and always return in October.

But the truth of the matter is this year is different, i will watch game 1 as is tradition, but i will not be investing into the team my usual amount.

This winning the division and losing in the first round still has left a sour taste in my mouth, regular season means nothing if we can't win in the post season.

Therefore i love and bleed blue and white, but until we win a round i will not be my usual passionate excited Go Leafs Go self.

Until we see them win a playoff series the regular season means nothing. Even if they win the presidents trophy and Matthews wins another Rocket and Marner wins the Art Ross it won’t mean shit, all we will hear is “ya well they can’t do anything when it matters”.

Not convinced they even make the playoffs if we're back to the Atlantic division. Tampa is a monster, Boston is gonna be good, the Habs and Florida on the rise hell even Ottawa.
The Habs are not good and finished below 2 non-playoff teams this year, they went 9-13-2 in the final month and change. I'm sorry but they're living entirely off Carey Price, so I'm not sure why people are hyping them up as the next big thing. Especially seeing as they have barely 15 players signed on for next season with 12 million in cap space, not counting Drouin. If the Leafs are going to struggle in the Atlantic, then what the hell is Montreal going to do? Because they're certainly not better than 3 teams in the Atlantic, and likely 4 and they certainly aren't better than at least 5 teams in the Metro. People need to stop propping up a team that's taking advantage of a shortened season. And Ottawa on the rise? Beating up mostly on non-playoff teams in the final 15 games doesn't mean you're good . Come on, this is some next level self loathing here, the Leafs are better than both and neither of them will make the playoffs next season during the course of an 82 game season.

Less interest for me. I will do something better with my time. Heck! They don't even broadcast Toronto locally on cbc/city TV. Why would I bother to pay $$$$$ to see them on cable TV?!

If we're far out at the deadline. Matthews and Marner better pack there shit

Blame Dubas and the Shanaplan all you want... this team looked good , and crumbled on their own; I liked the team that was constructed

I have very little interest. I may catch a game here and there but that’s it. I’ll watch if they make it past the first round but I don’t expect them to make the playoffs nextyear unless some huge changes occur and it works.

Being that I have been a life long leaf fan (over 50 years) and I am from the states, I’ve subscribed to DirectTV’s center ice package for the last 15 years just to get all of the leaf games.
I would spend several thousand dollars a year traveling to Toronto to take in a few home games every year.
I have already canceled the center ice for next season, and will not spend another dollar into to watching them.

Right now, would you rather be where we are or where they are?
Where the Leafs are, as hard as it is to say. The reason being? Because the Habs wont get past Vegas, there wont be any moral victories here because they'll miss the playoffs next year while wasting a year of Price and Weber by not trading them sooner than they will. That will set back their franchise similar to how the Leafs did under Burke and Nonis. Making the playoffs this year will have a similar effect to when the Leafs made the playoffs in 2013, management will think they have a better team than they actually do and will try to make a push for the playoffs and potentially get locked into bad contracts they can't really afford to give
