Hank wants to stay so badly that he's willing to make himself look horrible. See, by tanking the season, he will then have to take a cheaper contract, thereby freeing up some extra cash so Slats can buy more cigars and perhaps even ice a team that we can stomach.

I don't think I've had enough to drink

Well than he shouldn't have been playing. Talbot could have been up playing getting his feet wet while Lundvist got healthly.

this 100% times 10000000000!

Sick and tired of this team playing injured players, or making such lame excuses for bad play. Cause we really don't know what is going on!

He's baaaaaaaaaaack

....and making the peanut gallery look like fools again for criticizing him after a few rough games. 9 seasons and counting....

excuses excuses lundpads is done, hes been using the same humongous pads since his days with frolonda to make up for his inability to actually play the position :laugh::laugh:

Some people were too quick to claim that Lundqvist was done and underestimated how much his injury was affecting his play. He's capable of bailing the team out and keeping them in it now just like he always has whereas he was struggling to do that when he was playing injured. His rebound control has improved as well.

After the Anahiem shelling hes let up more than 2 goals only once , is 3-1 in his last 4 starts with a 1.00 GAA, .963 S%, 1 SO and only 2 ES Goals allowed.

Safe to say he's back, yes.

You'd think some folks would have earned the benefit of the doubt...

He always tends to start off seasons a little slow.

With the sizable number of sad sacks on here claiming to be Ranger fans, this is always to be expected. AV is a disaster and should be fired, Lunqvist is finished and needs to be released, this team has no talent, no identity, won't make the playoffs, etc etc thank god they at least have to shut up for a few days.

Some people never learn

The more I watch Pittsburgh play, the more I think they are a Henrik Lundqvist away from being a serious Stanley Cup contender every year. Hank is their missing piece...scary thought.

Its just so much easier to build a roster when you have 2 generational talents down the middle. Crosby and Malkin (despite him struggling now) are masters at creating space and time for their teammates. While guys like Zuccarello and Pouliot struggle to consistently produce on the Rangers, put them on the Penguins and they would flourish simply because of those 2 centers. Look no further than our old friend Pascal Dupuis.

But yes, that said, they cant stop the puck too.

Exactly. If anyone on our team should be given an enormous amount of leeway before proclaiming him "in decline," it's Henrik Lundqvist.

They should be better than that. The Blackhawks don't have a goalie near the caliber of Lundqvist.

Yes, a better way to word it would be if Hank were dropped into the Islanders lineup, they would be Stanley Cup contenders every year. If he were dropped into the Penguins lineup, the Pens would be an NHL power.
