Lundqvist will be fine once he adjusts to AVs defence system. It's been known for a long time that Vigneault has a defence system that's pretty complex, usually takes new defencemen about 6-8 weeks to get comfortable. Now, multiply that by 6 d-men and you have what's happening right now. But they'll be fine soon enough.
Offensively, I just don't know if Sather's given Vigneault the kind of firepower he needs to execute what he likes. A lot of our secondary scoring came from the defence, which again, you won't see until they become accustomed to the system. Garrison struggled here early on and then really started picking up his production as time went on.
The only thing I'd worry about is scoring enough goals right now to win games. Getting in a big hole early on isn't ideal, but you can right it with a good streak. A loss is a loss whether it's a 10 goal blowout or a 2-1 tight game. We got used to a blowout every month or so, mostly because our travel schedule included at least one WTF roadtrip a month.
The only thing I can say is you're team is likely doing the equivalent of taking a huge dump on the ice right now and getting it out of their systems. Pretty much what the Canucks did every October for the last 7 years. Heck, we're barely above .500 and it's considered our best start since Crawford was coach.
Panic once Decemeber sets in IF this is still happening and Sather hasn't made a move for some sort of scoring support.
