Well first off as an avid skier they do not have the greatest snow on earth.

Lets be adults here and respectful to the folks in Arizona .

Here are my top choices IMO as a part time Utah resident.

1. Grizzlies- Sick Jersey/ Logo plus they could have Jazz Bear show up for games as part time mascot
2. Golden Eagles
3.Miners/Prospectors - The wasatch mtns , particularly Park City and Alta were founded as mining towns. It also doesnt really have any divisive LDS connotation
4. Raptors or something Dino themed- this tracks: Dinosaur NM , tons of paleontology throughout the state

5. Could be something skiing themed/ in reference to “The Greatest Snow on Earth”

6. Lakers (GSL, Lake Powell). Utah is a big Lake State

7. Something canyon related- No state can come close to competing with Utah in terms or Canyons. Utah is the Canyon State

How about the Utah Christy Canyons? Would be a hell of a logo....

Well first off as an avid skier they do not have the greatest snow on earth.

Yes they do; I have skied all over the world and have been a Local in multiple Ski Towns out west.

The right side up snow that propogates in the Wasatch is the best snow on Earth. When the storms first come in Warm from the pacific and lay down dense snow/graupel as the base and finish off with dry lake effect snow it produces the Utah "Greatest Snow on Earth" that creates the excellent flotation and sensation of bottomless powder that is unique to the Wasatch.

In the Sierras/Cascades you get Dense ass snow. Colorado, WY/MT you get cold smoke/blower that you go right through.
