Won't matter to who.10%? Like someone else said, it won’t matter as he’s already the GOAT for goal scoring.
I'd have picked Bossy prior to Ovechkin for sure as that "pure goal scoring" guy.
No, I find it impressive that these same centres lead the NHL in goals and assists and their assist total actually seems more impressive than the goals total, despite the goals total being incredible as well.
Are you sure it wasn't when fehr arrived ? He had a history of lockouts before the NHLLock outs and strikes have done in other eras too. With Gretzky and Mario. It is too bad.
Never happened untill Betman arrived
Won't matter to who.
Leading goal scorer is the leading goal scorer.
If Gretzky scored more than anyone ....that makes Wayne the goat scoring
Its not recchi its 90 goals in a season and has all the records the great one GretzkyI always find these angled arguments so silly. Like do you think anybody actually considers Mark Recchi a better goal scorer than Bossy? But he compiled more goals!
If Marc scored 92 in one year I would. Or 87. Or maybe if Mark had once scored as many as Bossy in a single season . But since Mark never did that. No.I always find these angled arguments so silly. That is what I think to.If he wants to try, I think he wont retire until he gets it
I said before the season he needs to get to 740 by the end of the season. He'll have to pick up the pace to get to 730 now.If Ovie ends the year at 730, let's say then seasons of 40, 40, 30, 30, 25 would put him at 895.
That's certainly not impossible if he stays healthy and there are full seasons. It'll be extremely tough but I feel if he wants to get the record, he will.
180 goals after 35 has been done several times in the NHL already. It's not like Ovechkin would have to do something that hasn't been done before in order to break gretzky's record at this stage of his career...180 behind after today.
At age 35, man that just seems like a lot of goals.
He looked good today though. So who knows?
0 and it's always been 0the mere thought is ridiculous
Well i didn't say no chance, and I never said it hasn't been done before, but it's not common, especially with as much mileage as Ovi has.180 goals after 35 has been done several times in the NHL already. Well that settles it. Close the thread. The Flyers commentator already regards him as the best goal scorer of all time. He said as much.
