That’s why I got lucky and left in 83 to beautiful Bc and went into zen life after that
Where in BC? We’re seriously looking into moving to Osoyoos now that my wife just retired, if not for the pandemic she’d of worked till she dropped......me, I retired once I got my 30 years in.......

Where did you know in Hamilton ?
For me, it's mostly just recently. My father worked in Hamilton a lot as a kid in the late 60's/early 70's, so I spent a few summers out that way. Dated a lady from there a few years back for nearly a year, and got reacquainted to the area well.

Didn't get to know a ton of people from there though, just her friends. I actually didn't mind the Hammer. If it wasn't for my daddy duties here as my teens grow up (which I love), I would have moved there to be with her.

Having said that, someone should have talked me out of starting fatherhood in my 40's. lol

I’ll never forget this , but can’t remember the band ??
Maybe you would know them
Very scarce info here ...
Late 70s bar band
Maybe from Hamilton
Two bald biker looking front men ?
Nice band , they played the circuit for sure
They always said this ...
Para phrasing of course
Well thank you for coming to our show all you pretty people , but just do you know , there’s more of us ugly MF than you lol
Only bar band I remember with a bald guy was Brutus, but I don’t remember there being 2 bald guys. Being young and bald in the 70’s was rare in the circles I travelled in.

My father was 54 when I was born, don’t know how he managed not to kill us.......

That’s so so so crazy man
Sister Francesca was the crazy nun in a wheel chair that actually washed my mouth out with soap there
I also had a very very long suspension for flooding the lower floor with water from one of the Fire hoses on the wall lol
Had one of my great friends Phil Roberto who lived on Park , he was the only friend we knew that wasn’t either a Leaf or Hab , he was a Red wing fan and the only one to admit when we were younger that he was a Gordon Lightfoot fan

I had that demonic b&*&*& in grade three she was old but no wheelchair at that time, I had a black kid I hung around with we played ball together, she used to aske what we did outside of school every now and again she asked what he had done the night before and it just so happened he had been at my house for pasta the night before, so he told her, she smacked him across the face with a pointer a couple of times and then sent us both back to claok room and gave us both the strap. (I was an altar boy and served mass and whole deal) Afterwards she pulled me over to the other corner and whispered (that's what hanging around with a N***** is going to get you, your a good boy and I want you to stay that way) I finished that year and never went to Catholic school again nor church for that matter, hypocrite bastards

It's weird but it was something I never considered prior to having them as I was still playing hockey, playing the bars, and didn't marry till 35 and had my kids at 38 and 40 and that was borderline late, I could barely keep up to them when they entered their teens

I had a much younger wife at the time - she was the one who wanted to kill them. LOL I am too chill, believe it or not. They know how far I can be pushed, and they don't quite get there. My kids were always more cerebral than rambunctious. Lucky for me.

Thankfully they enjoy and respect the audio setup - they will even put on an album for me, and go through the careful setup routine. Gotta love a 15 year old who knows how to clean and use the de-static on an LP before play.

My mom was 20 years younger than my dad, you could pull her strings, but you didn’t mess with dad. Now all us kids now have the same chronic joint issues he had and I’m in awe how he kept up with us at that age.

That's close to my exact scenario. Married at 37, had kids at 40 and 42. It gets a little tougher each year, especially with ongoing medical issues. Definitely don't have the pep I used to. lol

I get it
We have a 34 year old married and also a 14 and 12 year old sane family lol

Amazing, isn't it? Those older generations were something. I remember vividly my grandfather had more energy in his 70's (when I was a kid) than I did in my 40's. No idea how he did it, but they rarely bought food from the store in summer.

I've had chronic health issues for over a decade, and he was the energizer bunny until his death (car accident). Those old Finlanders were a hardy type. My grandmother smoked until her death in her 90's, and avidly cross country skied well into her mid/late 80's. I rarely drink and never smoked, yet I have chronic issues like you.

Maybe I did it all wrong? lol

It’s being a leaf fan that brings on chronic health issues
