Most homer:
Jack Hughes puts up 100 points this year and finally cements himself as a top 10 center in the NHL.

The Devils get the last wildcard spot in the East.

Least homer:
Holtz never amounts to anything special because he has a rock for a brain and is still not a particularly good skater as much as people like to say otherwise. Our winger depth is absolute trash and not selecting Jack Quinn comes back to haunt this team.

Yegor Sharangovich might be the worst passer in the entire NHL. Unbelievable how many plays die on his stick because he can't complete simple passes. He scores some goals, but I don't really think he's a good compliment at all for Jack. He needs a better winger than him and I will be really annoyed if Jack has to play with Yegor again.

Simon Nemec is a bad pick and I don't care how many people have tried to rationalize it after the fact. Good hockey player, but still a bad pick at #2. There were plain and simple better players available. I also don't think he is nearly as good of a skater as people are trying to make him out to be. Great technique, looks effortless, but moves slower than you'd think. It's going to be much harder for him in the NHL in transition if he doesn't get a little faster.

The Devils roster is constructed terribly. Come playoff time, it will not be pretty.

Oilers fan
Homer: Our new coach is the real deal. We were winning at a top contender pace for the half season he was here, and this is longer than a new coach bump. The team was held back back by key injuries in the playoffs, and even so that Avs sweep wasn't a total domination.

Non-homer: the defense remains a big achilles heel that is susceptible to injuries dragging the whole team down. Running with a 20-21 man roster will be a bigger handicap than we'd think since the season is a marathon.
