Most: Stützle is the best hockey player on the planet earth

Least: Norris is overrated

MH: Josh Anderson is worth his contract

LH: (hard when our fanbase is so negative about the team) Habs are half a decade away from competing.

:sens
Most homer (current): The Sens middle 6 might be the best in the NHL.
Most homer (all-time): Karlsson at his peak was the best defenceman I've ever seen play (since ~1992)

Least homer (current): The best chance at the playoffs we have this year, is a wild card spot.
Least homer (all-time): All I see when I look at the the Sens 0 logo, is the number of cups they've won.

MH: Landeskog will end up being the de-facto 2C by December and set a career high in points.

LH: Every one of the Avs U-23yr forward pool will spend a majority of their NHL careers on or below the 3rd line.

Most Homer: Huberdeau + Weegar will be a more effective pair of players this season than Gaudreau and Tkachuk were.

Least Homer: The Flames lack a true #1D and so will struggle defensively now that we lack the offensive skill to make up for it.

Most homer:
This is the best we can expect because owners won't allow rebuild. Everything many Flames fans have bemoaned regarding a badly needed identity shift, we now have accomplished in this forced off season retool. Now to see what happens with this new core, but this team should have an on ice product that is entertaining for at least the next 3-4 seasons, right? Go Flames go!

Least homer:
All our roster players assembled together aren't perceived to be good enough to contend for the cup, but everyone still seems to want them... don't bother trying. Rebuild now. Maximum futures rebuild path to rebuild the core correctly is the best path to proceed on.

Homer opinion: The Sens have enough young defensive talent in Brannstrom, Thomson, and Jacob Bernard Docker (not to mention Sanderson) ready to step up and fill the top 4 D spot.

Least homer opinion: All the roster improvements might not be enough if lackluster coaching gets us off to another bad start.
Neutral fan lukewarm take: all 3 of those defensive prospects you mentioned before Sanderson will bust

Most: Seth Jones is going to be a valuable part of our team the next 8 years. The trade was dumb but it happened and he's probably not getting traded again. He'll provide stability for our D prospects and be a solid 50ish pt Dman for a long time.

Least: Trading Kane would be a mistake. I'd rather watch him play out the rest of his career here than trade him for assets even at the cost of bettering our rebuild. He's an all time great and we've been so fortunate to have been able to watch a player as consistently elite as he's been.

Most: Even thought I hated the pick at first, I now think Kaiden Guhle will become a top pairing defenseman.

Least (2): We will regret the Romanov-Dach trade. Our future D depth is now kind of bad (even thought I like Guhle, Barron and Harris), and I don't think Dach will be worth it. Since Dmen take longer to develop, we should have kept Romanov IMO.

While I think Slafkovsky will be a good player, he won't be as good as Logan Cooley, who should have been the pick at first.

I understand why those two moves were made, and I still root for Dach and Slafkovsky to make me look bad in the future, but I would have prefered to have Romanov and Cooley.

MH: Montreal will be the next Canadian team to win the cup

LH: Montreal will be the next Canadian team to win the cup

obviously this will take awhile but im confident with this prediction

Most homer: K'Andre Miller is a future Norris winner. The Rangers are a top 3 team in the East with the Panthers getting worse and will make the final in the next two years

Least homer: The next two years are the window. The salary cap will absolutely ream us and unless we trade a big contract or two, losing one of Miller/Laf is a worrying possibility.

I also don't see Kakko as much more than a middle-six player at this point sadly. Dude has all the tools but simply cannot put it together.

MH. Bowen Byram will surpass Devon Toews this season and finish with 15+ goals 55 points and be a top 10 Norris player. This is a player that lead the Avs in 3rd period ice time in a one goal game that was their most important hockey game in 20 years. Finished that game with an insane +4 expected goal difference. The coach obviously loves and trusts him. His role on the team will reflect his core status this season.

LH. MacKinnon sucks defensively and his effort levels there wane and wax. Would be a big mistake to resign him for more than $11.5mm per. I’d let him walk if he wants more than than that.

Bonus. The Avs will trade D Toews next offseason for a monster haul. Because Byram will have taken his role on the top pair.

Least Homer:
Tyler myers sucks so bad, it is addition by subtraction. If he wasn’t on this roster the team is better. He is replacement level. If we got “future considerations” in a trade for him it is a huge win.

Homer: I still believe in Laf. Don’t think he will be a bust.

Least Homer: Trouba shouldn’t be captain. He has the leadership for it but he’s one of the contracts that should’ve been moved in the upcoming year or 2.

MH: Sergachev’s contract is going to be fine and he himself is an underrated defensemen. Next year will prove it.

LH: Point is considerably overrated. His contract won’t age well.

MH: Dylan Strome replaces Backstrom, Oshie doesn't get hurt, Carlson learns how to play defense, Wilson comes back healthy, Darcy reminds us of 2018 playoff Holtby, Laviolette actually plays some of the youngsters and they shine.

LH: Strome and Darcy disappoint, Carlson plays defense like ..... well, Carlson, Lavy relies on an aging, injury proned core [Father Time wins], all leading to early tee times next year.

Most Homer: Auston Matthews is the 2nd best player in the league (HF boards seems to deem this"homerish".

Least Homer: Leafs current management group is one of the worst in the league and has squandered a golden opportunity that was presented 4-5 years ago.

most homer: Cam Yorke will outscore DeAngelo and be top 20 in points at his position
least homer: Provorov is not and never will be a #1 dman in the NHL.

Most Homer: Doughty is still a top 5 d-man and Quick is still a top 5 playoff goalie.

Least Homer: The Kings' use of their high picks has been simply atrocious, and I believe Byfield (and now also Vilardi) will be massive busts. Turcotte likely will be too, but I think he at least has the potential to be a solid middle 6 forward. Clarke is the only one I have faith in to live up to his draft position.
