That's a massive risk on Sandin. He hasn't shown anywhere near enough to get a deal like that. I think you'd get better value using Sandin to move contracts out and create space rather than paying him that much.

Gotta see how the next two weeks plays out but we are not in a very good position going into the draft with 3 picks for a second consecutive year. Rumblings are Leafs do not have the assets; are not willing to give up the assets or take on the bad contracts required to dump Mrazek. Hence why we are hearing they may stick with Mrazek and find a cheap starter/backup. Fleury would be that guy if he was willing to come here on a cheap deal.

That’s the guy we lost because that’s the guy Seattle took. Getting McCann for fucck all was a good move, letting him go was pathetic. No surprise there though. That’s the guy we lost because that’s the guy Seattle took. Getting McCann for fucck all was a good move, letting him go was pathetic. No surprise there though. Yes, that is the contract he just signed during this past season with Seattle. We would have had him as an RFA and could have traded him for another asset.
