Doesn't it seem like there is a disproportionate number of Honda/Acura drivers here? It's subliminal, and it's working.

Setup a poll of when people brought their Honda/Acura, BH (Before Honky) or AH (After Honky). I'm a BH.

Honda Pilot
Dark Teal
If I'm not mistaken that was the color they used for the playoffs this year at Barclays.

I've driven Hondas for 20 years (1999Accord, 2016Pilot) and I like their engineering/launch process as it relates to quality/reliability compared to the North American manufacturers (worked as engineer in automotive OEM manufacturer for over 10 years and worked with Ford/GM/Chrysler/Honda/Toyota/Nissan on various new vehicle launches)

Anyone also drive watercraft?

If you are talking about a boat, ( BIG SIGH ) I had a Checkmate back in the early 90s. Great boat to pull a water skier or a tube. Of course 4 guys with a big cooler and fishing poles fit nice too. Had a slip down in Freeport by Pier 95 restaurant. So much fun back then . During the week after work ( maybe 4pm ) the water was free from other boats . Weekends on the south shore were almost like the Long Island Expressway rush hour . Boat had a 150 boared out Mariner Magnum motor. Could just about hit 55 if the water was calm . Not super fast like the big boats but when you were cruising at top speed and only the prop was in the water there was no better feeling. Then the wife, then the kids, then the mini van, how the mighty have fallen she always tells me. After the boat sat on the side of the house for 2 years the UPS guy knocked on my door and asked if he could buy it since he noticed I hadn't moved it in a while. I gave it to him for a super low price and dat was dat. ( BIG SIGH)

2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee - best vehicle I have ever owned. Pounded 10k miles on it in the last 6 months and it's smooth as butter and a joy to drive. Massachusetts plates with an Islanders sticker slapped on the back window generates a lot of confusion and questions.

This is a timely comment and timely thread in general for me  I can't really rely on either of my cars anymore, so I'm in the market for my first new or almost-new car in a very long time. Most likely going to end up in the Honda family since the 16-17 Accord Sport and 17-up Civic Si/Sport/EX-T tick most of my boxes: good projected reliability, reasonably comfortable and well appointed, decent power, manual transmissions, and can be had for under $20k. Also on my "shortlist" are the 17-18 Elantra Sport, 16-17 Mazda6, 16-17 Jetta GLI, and 17-18 Sentra SR Turbo.

Current cars are '03 Maxima SE and '02 Suburban 1500. I've had the Maxima for close to 10 years and would probably have tried to keep it for another 10 if the engine weren't on its last legs. That generation Maxima has widespread oil consumption problems and mine has gotten out of control over the last year or so. The Suburban on the other hand is mechanically excellent and full of creature comforts, but not really practical as a daily driver, especially if I wanted to take a road trip considering it gets about 12mpg.

Been to Honda, Subaru, Toyota and Mazda dealers over the past two days. Still don't know what I'm getting, but of those four Mazda has by far (imo) the best looking paint jobs and Subaru the worst. Between the colors and the fact that Subaru barely changed the Forester for the new design, I don't think I'm going to go for a third one.

Mazda has had some of the best-looking cars on the road period since they started using their current "design language" 5 or 6 years ago, IMO.

I saw a beautiful blue cx3 yesterday. I almost went for it but it's a bit small for me and not as winterized as the CX 5. Really had nice lines.

My wife has the new CX-5. Thing is a downright beauty inside and out. Drives really well also.

I really like the CX-9, which I think has a similar engine as found in some of the CX-5s. Very, very nice looking cars/cuvs.

Too big for us but I liked the 9 also. I don't know how Mazda turned it around but good on them for producing a new line of cars that are reliable and look good.

Just purchased a Ram 1500 Big Horn yesterday. V8 Hemi 5.7L LED light kit, black appearance package etc. Love it!
