If you havent seen the Acura TLX PMC in person, go find it. The paint job on it is breathtaking.

Model X. If you are going to light a huge pile of cash on fire make sure it's worth it!

To be honest the bonus depreciation because of the Model X's weight is what made me choose it over the Model S.

Owning a Tesla is on the bucket list for me but I'm not quite there yet (I'm not close ).

well -- if something is going on your bucket list, Id expect some passion, no?

LOL

I used that term loosely.

By the time I can afford one it'll either be dirt cheap or they'll be out of business.

I just like a lot of their features, I'm a fan of what they're doing generally speaking.

Let me ask you, when they list 86 miles per gallon online, does that mean it only gets 86 miles per charge before you have to charge it again?

In theory, yes, if you have 100% charge, you should be able to go 86 miles. In reality, there are so many variables that the number is more like between 60 and 90 miles. For example, you get more mileage in stop-and-go traffic because braking recharges the battery. However, if you driving 75mph and blasting the AC, expect only 50 miles.

so I don’t know where you live and was going to guess Eisenhower Park for the photo but with no front plate or window stickers I am stumped . Last Summer my oldest son got a Blue 2019 civic sport 4 door brand new in Orlando . He loves it . Good luck

Wow, so don’t expect to go very far in this thing. So would you say a fuel or fuel/electric hybrid is still the way to go? Or are you happy with the car, the mileage, the performance, etc.

Just bought this about 6 weeks ago...

I just saw this thread. Here's my mode of transportation fellas......

hong-kong-taxi-860x545.jpg

The vaunted Hong Kong taxi! I basically haven't driven in 19 years other than trips to Europe and the states. My wife is always pushing me to buy a car but I have absolutely no desire. Plus it costs around $1000USD for parking per month (and that's only your own personal parking). In fact, a big thing over here is buying a parking space, which will run you about $150,000USD, and then renting it out. What you do in your driveway on LI for free will cost you $150,000 over here! All in all I've got to say I don't miss the driving experience at all. Instead of turning on the radio in the car I listen to a podcast on the bus or MTR (subway). In the end it's the same thing!

Live long enough and you may not have a choice.

I can't wait for future generations to look back on combustion engines and laugh..."you mean you literally had explosions over n over again inside a metal chamber to push some stuff?? Holy shit you guys were dumb."

I'm ready for it. At some point the technology will just completely transform the entire industry. If something like self driving cars becomes a reality, it then instantly changes everything about transportation. I'd really like to see that happen in my lifetime. Not sure it will, but maybe.

You ,You,You, finance managers are the Devil in disguise and you know it .

the salesman will say “ ok now congrats on your say $30,000 car ,you got a great deal” then You visit The Devil. As you walk out your but hurts and your not sure why. You turn back to look at the finance Manager and poof he is gone . Just some smoke and the smell of burning wood . But I’m sure CaptDenis is not like that . LGI

no I never had a bad finance experience . Almost once but escaped , re booted and started over with the guy.

If something like self driving cars becomes a reality, .

self driving 18 wheelers are already on the road . UPS uses them between Tucson and Phoenix. Until the systems are perfected a man is on board but the day is already here . Check on UTube and you can see lots of companies and videos on robotic trucking . Pretty interesting . All kinds of GPS etc etc on board.
