The Suzuki samurai back in the 80s was 90 hp. Had to go in the added extra truck lane while going up inclines on the through way.
It would lose speed and have to shift down to 3rd just to make it
90hp? I wish I had 90hp in my old Datsun 210. Pretty much downshift or die in that thing. No center console - just a stick coming up from the floor with a cueball grip. Awesome.

My first car was an '82 Rabbit 4 door. Automatic transmission. I think it was like 72 or 74 hp. I had to tortoise up hills if I had more than 2 people in the car. Great car, though. I was bound and determined to get a car and the minute I turned 16, I went out and picked this up for $2k. I had $800 saved up from working and refereeing soccer and borrowed the rest from my Dad, who I paid back at $150 a month.

When I graduated high school, my surprise present was that my Dad had been putingt that cash into a savings account and just turned it over to me. So, I had $1200 in my pocket when I went to college. Really cool thing to do. Learned how to earn something over time, but at the same time, my dad was cool enough not to take my money.

The 1982 camaro which was the first year of the next gen camaro was offered with a 4 cyl 90 hp engine . Yikes!!!

I drove around town this weekend and tried Mazdas, Infinitis, Lexus, and I'm pretty settled on a '17 Acura ILX A-Spec. It's only got 12k miles and it's a good price. I just gotta go buy it tomorrow.

I liked the Mazdas, but the 3 was small and maybe a touch too economy feeling, and the 6 was a little too soft and family boat feeling. Infiniti was nice and punchy, but too much money than I want to spend considering I may put 150 miles a week on this car at most. Same with Lexus. The Acura fits a nice middle ground between the Mazda and the Infiniti.

Nice choice - good luck!

I just bought a 2019 Honda Crv with 1.5L turbo (pick up tomorrow after they swap my radar detector and dash cam over).

It may not win any land speed records but it is a fairly spirited drive

Nice choice - good luck!

Just closed on a ‘12 G37 today.

Couldn’t be happier, supreme value for luxury feel, all wheel drive, and tons on power. Will post pics soon!

2006 Volvo XC90. Bought it used and looks and runs great. Never buying a new car again. I forgot how much I hate car payments!!!

My first car was an 85 Buick Skyhawk with a bad boy I4, 85 HP.

That Nissan V6 is awfully enjoyable. I had a 01 Maxima which I loved.

Finally upgraded from my trusty 04 Grand Cherokee to the Kia Telluride. Drives like a dream and looks awesome IMO.

Anyone have any familiarity with the "mid-size" pickups? Thinking for the future, I'm a water guy as opposed to a golf guy so would like to have something I can tow a smaller center console (17-22 feet) with. Curious if anyone has any?

- Ford Ranger
- Jeep Gladiator
- Toyota Tacoma
- Chevy Colorado

I'm drawn to the Ranger for some reason but know there are concerns with the 4 cylinder ecoboost's longevity. Rumors are that it will get a V6 option soon though.

Currently drive a 2007 Jeep Wrangler X 2-door with 43K miles.

The problem with the mid size trucks is you can get a full size for just a little bit more money after incentives. They’re not a very good value unless you really don’t want a full size. I wouldn’t worry about the 2.3L it’s been around for awhile in the Mustang and Focus RS. It’s also the base engine in the new Bronco.

I’m not a very tall man, getting a full size truck may make people think I’m compensating for something.

Thanks for the info though, there’s also a rumor of a Bronco pickup too but that’s not expected until at least 2024
