You dont just trade superstars when you are contending.
It's not just the Foligno trade, he traded away a lot of picks for an all-in year. You can't go all-in at the deadline and not make it out of the first round. As for the bad contracts, let's remember, these were RFAs. If some team wanted to give away 4 1st round picks to overpay, then let them do it. It's a better for the team long term, then to go through these 1st round losses. I
