What can we do to get Keefe fired.

I think this California trip / next 4 games will have a big impact on what happens with Keefe. If they come out 0-4 or 1-3, you have to seriously consider a coaching change before it’s too late.

when he took the lead after a 9-10-4 started, leafs finished with a 27-15-5 0.628 win % despite a pretty bad D
next year he had to deal with his # G injured and played with backup goalie and made campbell and hutchinson looking great
next 3 season he had to deal with a back up caliber G as #1 he made them looking fine ( campbell can thanks keefe for his 25M contract)
just watch this season team whos struggling really hard defensivly and/ or team with goalie issues, how many of those team still have a good season? tampa 11th in % pc, NJ out of playoff, Edmonton out of playoff, detroit out, ottawa/buffalo are awful, caroline still fighting to stay in...
probably just colorado who survive to georgiev bad season
changing coach will not erase all those leafs weakness and maybe will just raise those weakness. leafs D and G would not miraculously become an elite group. Changind coach not always giving a positive boost

Look at what Carberry has done to keep the Caps alive. No doubt the Leafs would have been in a better position right now with a similar coach.

The Leafs problems are without question GM level issues, so I agree with what you are saying. I didn't suggest he should be let go, just that what he did was off target and a jerk thing to do, and I stand by that. That Keefe did that cries desperation. Treliving needs to do something significant that moves the needle for the Leafs.

Well he certainly didn't endorse dubas and Shanahan by telling Leaf Nation that the top 5 on Colorado is in another league of his superstars

They don't need to become elite defensively to play 60 minutes of hockey. Keefe says they needed to get better to hold the lead but didn't seem to get that it was on him to adapt to the other clubs changes. Still the same lineups in the second period right? Same talent as what started the game?
Colorado made changes and Sheldon watched and decided it was their otherworldly skills that were the issue and not the team he didn't prepare between periods or the goalie he never rested against the dregs of the league. You can bet Bednar didn't go into the locker room down by 3 and just tell him team to play better. 5 straight goals tells me SK didn't have a clue what to do once his lineup stopped out skilling the other guys. Again.

One long term failure of Keefe's is his lack of trust in guys like Domi and the bottom 6. You'd see Pat Burns, Barry Trotz, Jacques Lemaire build these 4th line identity lines where you give guys a mission statement, purpose and turn them into a high energy shock troops with real role. Let them play within those parameters, gain confidence and become more reliable over time. Not Keefe. Use them hesitantly like you don't want them to screw up the Big 4 cooking, give them minimal ice time and never spread around the talent. Such an untrusting, video game coach.

Keefe called out Willie again after last night's game. That's pretty much his only move, either critique Willie or move him up/down the lineup...it's his only tactic.

Funny stat…..remember when keefe said matthews was scoring without Willy so he switched the lines that was matty scoring 10 goals in 5 games wanna know how much he’s scored in the 5 since with mitch? I believe it’s 4 now……I call bull**** he switched them bacc cause they wanna play together but you love calling Willy out I get he likes it but run the team like your the coach ffs

ALl you have to do is enter the zone and criss-cross with another guy and they'll let you have the hasmarks. It's crazy.
