Tatar getting elevated to the first unit on the back of irrelevant preseason goals makes me weep.

Tatar has been a power play specialist his entire career. I'm not against him getting a look on no.1 unit. The PP had to be changed up from last season.

Unfortunate that Hischier is still out for tonight, but I'm hoping we can still win against the Flyers without him.

Also, I'm looking forward to seeing how the new guys do. We've made some great additions over the summer through trades, UFA signings, and rookies being called up. Would love to see them making an impact from the first game.

With Hischier out I guess the logical move is to shift Mercer to C, put Holtz back with Hughes & put Zetterlund in on the third line?

Still a pretty decent lineup, hopefully Nico plays in the home opener.
