Highlights:
- Kadri was great once again, great vision, good physical presence, and good hustle
- Kessel and Lupul missed out on two huge opportunities in the end
- JVR was ****ing terrible. He needs to start using that big body to do something useful
- Scrivens played well, and kept us in the game with some good saves in the third
- Bozak had a good game, especially at the end with those huge draws
- Miller stole the game for Buffalo

Can really see the Leafs are missing puck-movement from the defense, I like Kostka though. Kadri looks great, still waiting for signs of life from JVR. Mac/Grabo/Kulie turned it on for a bit in the 3rd, but were useless the rest of the game. Liking our 4th line.

Kadri was the ****, bozak nice face off wins, phaneuf also great. Wish they started playing earlier than 2 min left. Mac and ussr was garbage, that line needs a serious shake up. Kadri needs more min, he's a stud. Also love the emotion he showed at the end of the game, he was pissed off.

I'm really happy for Kadri.

Phaneuf was surprisingly good defensively.

Scrivens... *shrug*. I'd like to see Reimer.

Game was ours in the first period. Couldn't capitalize on those powerplays.

Didn't watch the game. Did the guys play better tonight then on Saturday?

I think they played better than they did on Saturday, Montreal is just that terrible.

Honestly I don't think that Miller was spectacular. As is often the case when people here see him dominating the Leafs, he's actually seeing VERY few real scoring chances. How many shots did the Leafs have from the slot? How many shots with Miller screened? How many deflections? How many rebounds? How many odd-man rushes?

Not even on the long 5-on-3 did we see any of those things.

Did anyone miss Franson or Komisarek? They had a good first game, but we brought in two guys getting paid a whole lot less and they got the job done just the same.

As bad as we played Miller stole that.

Kadri and Kessel best forwards. Dion best player overall.

Grabo and Mac starting to get going. Kulie still lost in the woods.

Orr flattened Scott. That was good.

Not sure why it is always Kule's fault around here, I see 3 guys skating circles accomplishing very little. The 2nd line has been mediocre since 10-11, they are no longer sneaking up on teams.

it's games like this that make you realize just how much of a difference a real top tier goaltender makes. the leafs out played the Sabres on every front, but they're goaltending was just too good.

I could only watch parts of the game, but has Scrivens been all that bad, to deserve the calls for Reimer? He's let in 3 goals, in two games. The Hodgson tip was nearly impossible, and the Pominville goal, which I didn't see but heard, sounded like it was a 3-1.

Personally, I don't think Reimer would do better.

Bozak's faceoff performance should be commended tonight.

It's too bad this team waited until the very end of the game before showing any kind of desperation. Buffalo sat back after they got the lead and the buds seemed to follow their lead.

Same old same old Sabres applied almost zero offensive pressure the entire game and scoring chances yet we still find a way to lose. Buffalo was a non playoff team and against the better teams who can pressure us alot down low we will be in trouble i really don't like our defense and Scrivens looks shaky.

That play in the 1st period where Hodgson took the skates out from under Phaneuf who went sliding hard into the boards was dirty and i was very dissapointed to not see the Leafs captain get right up and pound the guy. Nor did our captain respond the rest of the game with a big hit against Hodgson. Whatever Dion.

Bonehead move by Ruff to have scrub goon Kaleta on the ice late in the game...yup took a dumbass penalty and cost the Sabres a goal to make it a closer game.

Randy really knows the imporntance is little things during these (his) low scoring games.
Like we all saw his team took every faceoff home. They won them straight. Concentrated.

So I am really puzzled why we won't trade for a goalie since these low scoring games are coming game after game this season. A scrivens cannot win these type of games. He will be pulled a lot in the end future too, and only then we can score. Without scrivens.

They did well defensively. It's no question Ryan Miller was a factor - as he usually is versus Toronto - and ultimately he gave Buffalo this win.

I thought our offensive game, however, grew a little stale as the game progressed. Need to learn to be more creative and effective in the offensive zone. Quality, not quantity.

The 4th line had a very good game tonight, Orr's skating is night and day from last year and Mcclement is a solid player. Like their game.

The Sabres got a lucky bounce to open the scoring; then a missed interference call; that lead to an odd man break for their 2nd goal.

The Leafs stood tall against the blasted Sabres; unfortunately they did not get the bounces. You can't win them all.

That Kostka to Kadri play was a set play; Kadri needs more ice time.
