They also had prime Seabrook, Hjalmarsson, Oduya, and Leddy. We have Martinez, Phaneuf, Folin, and AHLers.

Only difference between this and the many late hits Vegas was throwing is the Kings protected themselves. NHL just enabled Vegas' whining through the media and said it's fine to stickhandle into the middle with your head down.

At least it gives the Kings something to rally around I guess.

Are you unfamiliar with the phrase? He had Fleury down and out--doesn't mean he scored. I'm upset he didn't finish but especially on the play where Pearson was screening Fleury would have had no chance if Kopi could have finished.

And the only reason I'm defending him there is because I see what he was doing while you somehow see it as a PTSD flashback to his bad year.

Pure unadulterated garbage, and the great majority of people that are happy about it are VGK fans or rivals. Small minority of anyone else. In fact, lots of backlash at DoPS elsewhere.

Kings didn't fall into any game plan BS: a hit was made on a forward cutting to the middle of the ice in the offensive zone.

Kings were not rattled at all and Doughty didn't throw any sort of hissy fit. I'm the first one to call out Doughty for losing his cool but he's just playing f***ing hockey there.

Kings actually played the kind of game they needed to play last night. Vegas wasn't super dangerous.

i don't think we really have any right to be mad about that getting a game honestly

regular season that's a dead simple 2 game suspension, their hands are tied at this point because all precedent points to 2 games. the precedent also says that 2 regular season games is 1 playoff game so here we are

i'm not happy about it but it is what it is. team needs a f***in wake up call if nothing else.

Where did I state or even infer Kopitar had a flashback to last season? I simply said he should have shot the damn puck.

Maybe not the wakeup call the Kings wanted, but the one they needed. Better it be losing Doughty for one game than it being losing game 2.
