Northside and westside of arena is pretty untouchable. The East does not have to be touched much. Possibly a SE upper concourse renovation.

The southside of the arena is where everything needs to be redone and it would even benefit the Suns.

To eliminate obstruction, the upper concourse would be removed and extend the lower level seating area and have tier seating further outwards with club seats, luxury boxes similar to Edmonton and Toronto end seating. There can be room for general admission seating with 8 to 12 rolls in the corner.

You would also be able to widen the lower level concourse and add attractions catered to fans on that side of arena.

To accomplish this. They would have 2 options.

1. Remove the street south of the arena.

2. Build over top of the street which would create a tunnel like design.

Taking over the street is more likely and of course would need city approval.

The Suns and Coyotes is what downtown needs and every establishment would want it.

Partnering up would guarantee the arena to stay in use for the next 20 yrs.

Really tripling down on these cringey posts

I'm convinced they're just trying to get the fanbase to want them to move out of state.

Everyone that hates the team should immediately like the tweet to get it over 20k and force them into the more cringey "lulz, j/k it's a SeCrEt!"

You'd think that nearly two decades of professional hockey games played in Glendale would have resulted in more west-siders playing the sport.

It's a whole chicken-egg thing. People don't build rinks out here because they think there's no interest, and people don't get interested because there aren't enough rinks. But there a ton of kids out here who want to play hockey. They generally have to drive to the east side if they're really serious or good, though, because that's where the serious leagues are.

A small part of me is entertained by how whoever is running the account right now is just leaning into it as a distraction from the franchise's absolute silent panic, but the rest of me hates it, because I know if they get the likes, they'll say, "We're building an arena and we're committed to Arizona." Bait and switch.

Whoever is in charge of social media is doing it like it's their last few weeks with a job and just doesn’t GAF.
They’re probably getting more engagement than ever and may get promoted.

I've decided that I am a fan of the cringe. I will embrace it and become one with it. We are the cringe team set out to annoy the piss out of the entirety of Canada and non sun belt fan bases
This is correct. The right way of thinking. Well done.

But that’s what we’re already expecting. Just like a marketing email with a catchy subject line that promises something great. You know it’s just them selling you something but if they can give you a laugh then great. It’s like a funny commercial. It’s just for car insurance you don’t want and don’t care about and won’t actually save you any money as the claim. But the commercial is funny. So it’s nice. Better than an unfunny version of the same crap.

Has anyone been able to corroborate the information contained in that tweet that was floating around about the vote no side spending 8x as much as the vote yes side?

The chain reaction is already starting.

Cooley goes back to College. There is a reason why he didn't make this decision months ago. He was waiting for clarity on the future. It's not a bad decision by any means. But it's ignorant to think he didn't make this decision based on the failed election.

Keller and his reps talk to the Coyotes yesterday to ask for clarity on and off the ice very soon. Other players are likely thinking the same.

Now you have a draft in 40 days, and you have to now take into consideration players may not want to come unless there is clarity here.

Then you have McBain and Maccelli who need new contracts.

The organization, realistically, needs to have an answer soon.

But was the hacker in the room with them?

This might be part of why Chych wanted out as have others. Why would Keller or anyone else want to stay here now? No arena path in sight, no money for new players, even if we had any, we are rebuilding so likely would not spend it. Does Keller get 100 points on a good team? Fiesta mall isn't the answer, its almost as far out as Glendale. To have a chance of working, it has to be in Tempe, Scottsdale, reservation maybe, or maybe downtown Phoenix.

The NHL has without a doubt stuck their heels in on a team being in the Phoenix market. It will be interesting now to see what shakes out of this. I still think the team stays in Phoenix, like I always have, but after a 25 year struggle, I don't know now.

One thing is clear, don't depend on a public vote to get anything from a community for a pro sports team, they ship has sailed, too many everyday folks don't want endorse wealthy owners, regardless of the fine print and all the sense it might make to vote yes. That is the message here, and we are seeing it in other cities too. That was the mistake, thinking a vote had a chance of passing.

Net worth means he has $8 billion in assets more than he has in debt. If they were equal his net worth would be zero.
Net worth doesn't take into account debt servicing. If he's got a sh** ton of debt that he is already paying on his net worth doesn't make it all work. Are you familiar with the term house poor?

You guys are really butthurt about the tweets?? Really?! Go take a walk

Context. Any other time, this carefree snarky humor would be great.

Except right now our team is on total PR lockdown and in the throes of desperation, and cracking jokes while a fire burns down your house isn't exactly productive.
