Kadri needs to get minutes, and Orr is not a good hockey player IDK wtf Randy is doing this stupid experiment of Orr on with our best Center. It didn't work last year, why is it going to work this year.

This might be a good thing.

Perhaps they'll start being responsible now and put in 60 minutes of effort.
It will be and you know it.

It always always has been. 82 game season and you don't want to win them all. Not at all. It's fun and important to save energy at times so you can win again. Even more important games than this horse crap.
Our team will be better next time and that'll be entertaining. Great to see that fight mode again and all those hits and maybe even opposite injuries (I hope we don't see them coming). Many people are still talking about us being the hardest team in the league and we're dropping other opposite players down and laying them down.

Kessel had 7 shots on goal tonight. Out of 28 for the team. Can't do much when your Center linemate can't finish even on empty nets.

And JvR had an off game. More like he had a Bozak type of game.

How many of those 7 shots were perimeter shots? JVR and Kessel were not good tonight, at least admit it. I know its more convenient to pin it on Bozak, but we both know if you watched the game there is perhaps more blame on those 2 guys than Bozak this game.

Totally uninspired effort tonight. .

Bodie, Orr and Devane don't need to be in the same line up. Call Abbott or one the offensive minded Marlies up.

Bodie's useless fight was the turning point of the game. Waivers for you.

Orr on the 3rd line: :facepalm:/:help:

Bozak is smart player, But almost kills offensive opportunities with lack puck skills, Quite frustrating.

Ranger I'm a fan of, But man if he was any slower he'd be going backwards. I have 10 game threshold that waiting to hit before I get too critical of him, But wow.

Phneuf, Bolland, Bernier, Rielly, Ashton, Kadri(in spots) were the bright spots IMO.

Bozak should get moved down.. His faceoffs were brutal and he couldn't score for ****

At least try Bolland with JVR and Kessel .. Move Kadri back with Lupul

That POS should be traded for the bag of pucks. He is no use on this team in a top 6 role. He just kills any offence this team generates.

PS> Carlyle brainfarted big time today

Gardiner had a great game tonight. I don't get why some people are ******** on him. He was calm all night, and carried the puck out of our zone 95% of the time. He had a great game.

Phaneuf, Bernier, Rielly and Kadri were our best players tonight.

Thought Kadri and Ashton were good together, Bodie should slide up on the third line and have Orr drop back to the fourth

LOL, I know that, the anti Bozak fans know this, most impartial fans know this. But it doesn't stop the lynch crowd to keep saying it. Stats without context, fools only a few but certainly not all.

Carlyle is jerking around with this line up too much. When Bolland played good against Philly and Ottawa...I knew that there was going to be some stupid line ups...never imagined Kadri would have to play on the 4th line despite the season he had last year.

It's really stupid. Bozak was a disaster. JvR coasted the ENTIRE game...he looked so good against Ottawa and then he goes around and does that

CONSISTENCY! I just hate losses like this because you know how we could easily have been on the winning side if just a few changes were made on the go EARLIER than they were...

Putting Kadri back up with Lupul or Raymond for one shift after 20 shifts with Orr and Ashton isn't magically going to get you a goal.

Am I the only one who thinks the Leafs are gonna do terribly this year unless we get Vezina-ish calibre goaltending night after night?

Also, Paul Ranger, you are bad.

Agreed, on all counts. Gardiner was excellent, despite occasionally holding onto the puck too long.

The biggest thing that irritated me tonight was the lack of aggressiveness. Not aggressive on the body or the puck, just no hunger for the win, unlike the avs.

The difference is, JVR and Kessel had off nights, whereas Bozak played normal. He just is not a 1st line player in the NHL, not even close. This isn't just about tonight, it's getting annoying watching Bozak be counted on in crucial offensive situations when he simply isn't talented enough.
