Most underrated Ranger ever, every season he's had has been like top 10 offensive season in Ranger history lmfao.

My only untouchables are Panarin, Shesterkin & Kravtsov.

I'd be pushing Trouba, Kreider & Mika out ASAP.

Give me a break. Post-Putin hit piece version of Panarin is a soft power play merchant who is mostly invisible on a game to game basis.

He was robbed of the Hart in 2019, but he hasn’t been that player since

His first two seasons yes. His last two seasons, he’s entirely reliant on the PP. It accounts for over 40% of his pts and he’s a turnover machine at ES. He has 3y left, so it’s a road to nowhere either way. We need the cap elsewhere.

The last time we had any kind of development was under Torts.

Callahan, Dubinsky, and Hagelin never really had the talent but he got the absolute most out of them.

He's probably not a Cup coach because when the team is good, all he's gonna do is scream at a good team, but we skipped ahead to the Cup coach when we weren't a finished product.

Guys on this team need to learn and nothing is being taught.

This is the reason this coaching team has to go. Everyone loves Gallant as their favorite Hockey Uncle, but he does not have what the team needs. Kelly and Murphy are nothing. It's irrelevant that previous coaches have been poor. It's obvious this core needs structure and to play a fast paced, modern skill game.

Also Drury has holes to fix on the roster, but he is responsible for a lot of them by pandering to his bosses.

No goals in 12 games. Highest paid player in the league outside of McDavid. Team circling the drain. Uber talented player but do the math, he’s a major part of the problem
I mean he had one today that was a joke of a callback

Everyone talks about depth at LW

And some of you guys want to replace one of the best players in the league with Kreider, who has gotten more than 55 points once in a total fluke of a season, and Lafreniere who I believe in but up to this point hasn’t shown anything lol

This was why Quinn was hired, to teach structure and fundamentals. Problem is we’re not a team of youngins, we have a core of vets who have been around the block for a while. A few who likely don’t care about learning about structure and fundamentals.

Break off a piece of that core, starting with Panarin. Has 3 yrs left, moveable deal if he allows it. One of Kreider or Trouba could be next when their NMCs expire.

And neither are making nearly $12mm while showing no chemistry with anyone. No one is arguing Panarin isn’t a much better player than both of them, certainly combined right now. The issue is he no longer makes sense for the team. We need cap, help at ES and opportunities for the kid’s to take the next step. Moving him provides all 3.

He's barely even a minor problem in the big picture.

Kreider came back to his reality.

Halak is a terrible goaltender who must be replaced or he has to magically get better.

Shesterkin has gone from a monumental season to being good.

It's almost amazing how bad Trouba looks. He's never been great, but he served a function of being by far the most physical Ranger. The've been saying on the broadcasts that he's nursing something that's hampering him, so I cut him slack.

The 3rd D pair is not good, at all.

One of the biggest letdowns is that no young stars are even on the horizon, other than Othmann, possibly.

All that said, the team is essentially the same quality as they were at this time last season, except for the goaltenders.

They became much better at the trade deadline and they'll likely do so again.

On the plus side:

Laf scores very well at 5x5 and it's still way too early to call him a bust, although he's never going to be the hoped-for superstar.

Kakko is still allergic to putting up points, but I still believe that will change big-time. I still think he might become an 80-point player and certainly a 60-point player.

I think K'Andre will return to near-star performance.

Boy, that was a depressing game and it's hard for me to picture even a competitive game against Jersey. To me, they're the best team I've seen this year, but there are a couple other real good ones.

He's not underrated. Possibly overrated at this point and this is coming from a frequent defender. He was horrible in last year's playoffs and he still turns the puck over way too much. When he is not scoring he's a net negative and he's really expensive.

at his salary he better be a perennial hart candidate and he isn't even close

You can't play fast if you're not fast.

Holding on to the puck trying to make the perfect pass with 20 seconds left ...

KAM's penalty in the 3rd got the ball rolling for the Oilers.
Turned into an avalanche.

KAM's penalty was a result of Carpenter's laziness/carelessness.

You’re missing the little fact that he controls his destiny and that no team is taking him on at that cap hit

this isn’t like moving a 25 year old Jack Eichel from an atrocious Sabres team

Bro, I don't know if you are just trolling, but Fox is the best player on this team, including the goalie and it ain't close. He's in the top 3 D in the NHL and you want to keep a Russian glass sculpture.
There really is no reasoning with you. He is by far their best player.
I was joking lol but one thing that annoys the f*** out of me with him is how slow he is. There are so many times he has really lazy/slow backchecks. Doesn’t help we have an 8 million dollar traffic coke in Trouba. Our D could use a speedy puck mover like Quinn Hughes, we are the slowest team in the league

He's not that slow and he makes up for it with his skill and smarts. Already a Norris trophy winner and he could be in the conversation again.
