He slept well last night.

Doctor said he’d likely get better then worse, then better.

Sort of how it works with RSV.

Dare I ask?

For one, it was just after 9/11, so any travelling was stress inducing. Second, I'd never been to Europe before, so the culture shock was large. Third, I was in Warsaw, which is not the prettiest city in the world, Krakow would have been much better. But the worst was, though I never drink tap water in any country, I made the mistake of getting ice in my drinks. Who knew Montezuma spent time in Poland?

Oy!

GM's plane was late over the weekend and I bought a sandwich at the wildflower at the airport. SIXTEEN DOLLARS! No drink either.

Find a good Currywurst and Spätzle at a corner shop, then have a pretzel with a lager to wash it down.

I've only spent one afternoon in Germany because I was in Strasbourg, France for a month doing some research and one Saturday took the train over to Kehl. I'd like to go back and spend time in Berlin or Munich.

Agreed. I spent a lot of time in Germany and the food is great. If you’re gonna get American food in Germany, prepare to be disppointed.

By the way @McGarnagle , Strasbourg counts as being in Germany…..Great city. That’s where my ancestors are from and we consider ourselves German.

I feel so sick, my daughter is a hearing instrument specialist and works with an ENT doctor. Today a child with Down syndrome was in with his mother. he was scared, mostly non verbal, and kept saying "sad" and "scared". My daughter is a sweetheart and is very gentle and patient.

The mother started yelling at the child to behave and physically manhandled him very roughly, telling him to behave. My daughter said it is okay, he is just scared, the mother just ignored her and continued to scream at him. My daughter is shaken up and has reported it to child services. They were horrified and are going to follow up. If she does that in public, what does she do to him at home? So sad and distressing. Just had to vent, it is so upsetting.
