NHL: “We need to market our best player.”
Also NHL: “Let’s schedule his game 10PM on a Sunday”

Can’t disprove actual statsYour kidding me right ....![]()
ESPN holds the game, it’s the only open time slot they had. Blame Bettman for working out such terrible TV dealsJust noticed that. The league's generational star fighting for his playoff life in a series that has become very heated with no other competing game on the schedule and the NHL can't find a way to get the game into prime time. Unbelievable.
Baseball is on tonightThe league needs to be more flexible with scheduling with no other NHL or NBA games tonight. A 10:00 pm start on the East coast is idiotic for tonight’s game.
Small market Canadian team, ESPN cares more about baseballThe NHL has one game tonight.
A do or die at home with the world's best player
It's Sunday so most people aren't working today, but they are tomorrow
So they schedule the game at 10pm eastern
I get that it's Mother's day and a 6pm local start my screw up some dinner plans, but god lord this league really is 2nd rate.
Sounds silly but that’s why it’s so late. ESPN showing the game after baseball is over
True enough.Small market Canadian team, ESPN cares more about baseball
ESPN has the rights to this game, they didn’t want to give it up so that’s why it’s so late. Only thing the NHL did was negotiate such a shitty TV dealTrue enough.
I suppose since the NHL is such a second rate league, one of it's marquee events can't even compete with an insignificant 40th ball game is a 162 game season.

Baseball can last all night without overtime.Sounds silly but that’s why it’s so late. ESPN showing the game after baseball is over
Can ESPN at least hire Gary Thorne to call the games? The playoffs haven’t been the same without him these past twenty years.ESPN has the rights to this game, they didn’t want to give it up so that’s why it’s so late. Only thing the NHL did was negotiate such a shitty TV deal

8pm is prime time.Just noticed that. The league's generational star fighting for his playoff life in a series that has become very heated with no other competing game on the schedule and the NHL can't find a way to get the game into prime time. Unbelievable.
Prime time is when you would have the most viewership. A 10PM ET start time on a Sunday night means 75% of hockey fans will be unable to start or finish this game. That is not Prime Time.8pm is prime time.
Not no more lol. They have an extra innings rule in the regular season now. Hardly ever go more than a few extra innings now.Baseball can last all night without overtime.
10 pm EST on a f***ing Sunday?
I’ve seen mcdavid a few times these playoffs … I got work and kids, you know all the baggage of bad decisions made in your 20s and 30s but at least let me enjoy some f***ing mcdavid every now and then
10 pm on a Sunday …
Pie serving it up hot with this comment, you know this was used to ensure it was only a 1 game suspension. Eludes to them f***ing up the Kane situation and it appeared to help him.
