Regular season matchups don’t mean much. 2 of the 4 regular season games were decided in 3 on 3 overtime.

And I thought the same thing before the Winnipeg series because the Knights hadn’t played that team in 4 months.

Edmonton Oilers in Brock Boeser.

I don’t like the Knights’ chances. But, they really do know how to kill young teams. The X-Factor is the ice in their arena. It’s hard to dominate offensively if their ice is shit.

Vegas so slept on this spring. Hard to finish first in the conference by accident. And then they add a top line winger like Stone. They have a really quality lineup, especially their top 4 D and top 6 forwards.

I don't love either team's goaltending. It probably comes down to special teams, VGK can't let the Oiler PP operate anywhere near to what they have been and also have to imptove their own PP by several orders of magnitude.

Should be fun either way. Brossoit has to be great. Both buildings will be insane.

It is interesting to see the poll results thus far....I think many people are underestimating what a complete team that Vegas is.....and much more so now with Stone back.....
Stone makes the team so much better. Everyone thinks this is the same Vegas team that sleep walked a lot of games down the stretch

Vegas in 5. The Knights have woken and Thompson is fully healthy. We may see him in this series.

Vegas is 4 lines deep. They have Chandler Stephenson and Mark Stone on their 3rd line. That could be the series right there.

Unlike LA, Vegas locks it down between the hash marks and doesn't give away onetimers right in the slot. And their D is way bigger and more physical.
Where are ypu getting this? Last report is from 4 days ago and say Thompson hasn't even resumed skating after reinjuring himself and is out indefinitely. Hill is healthy but Thompson may not even be back if Vegas makes it to the Stanley cup.

6 or 7. Have the Oilers, but both teams are good.

Comes down to who plays to their potential. Goaltending is similar, Edmonton has better group of forwards, Vegas has better defense.

Think edmonton definitely lines up a little better vs vegas then they did the kings. Think they will be able to open up and this could b were McDavid takes over.

Think like most have said will come down to goaltending m Skinner has to step up, Vegas just embarrassed Helleybuch. That's scary.....

Hopefully the hockey God's find some way to punish stone and Vegas for shamelessly cheating.

I can only imagine if Evander Kane tried such a thing the latent outrage on cbc, other players and the league.

I dislike the Oilers pretty much more than any other team, but I am rooting for them since Vegas is playing well over the cap, and I now think their organization and Stone are dirtbags.

Oilers in 6

Vegas has different strenghts… maybe it suits the Oilers better (as they have less two-way strength down the middle and no doughty anchoring a D), who knows…

I think health decides at this stage many matchups… if a team can stay clear of injuries it goes a long way.

If the Oilers stay more or less healthy and the depth players keep on delivering, they are very hard to beat regardless of the opponent they face in the playoffs.

I think it's just us Oilers fans coming in with excitement after a series win...not many are going to vote that they'll lose, it's understandable.

Personally I won't be surprised to see Vegas take this in 6 or 7. The regular season head to head games don't mean a single thing now, we found that out when we played Winnipeg in the play-in series.
