Who you got tonight, HF? I'm feeling a 0-0 untelevised slugfest of a game. First star Darnell Nurse.

Merely hoping that the Oilers take this evening to relax with some of our friendly locals for Saturday night's game.

P.S. -- For Oilers players, the contact number is on the beach ball if you zoom in.

The structure and cohesion they play with as a team is a beautiful symphony.

Oilers are all chaos. Bad gaps, bad back checks, mental errors galore

I don't disagree but it's exciting hockey. It's an absolute roller coaster. I watch hockey for the enjoyment aspects

At the end of the day my name isn't going on the cup. Obviously I'd like my team to win but that's a tough feat and if I'm entertained when it's all said and done I m happy

The Oilers won’t have to play Carolina until the SCF, no need to worry about Aho right now.

Good game by Oilers but its just one win and nothing more. The series is now best of 5 with Edmonton holding home ice advantage.

Well, that’s the Oilers response to a stinker. If Vegas doesn’t do the same, the series could be shorter than anticipated. That isn’t to say they need to win the next one but, they need to be far more competitive.

So, I bet the Oilers have eliminated this particular version of the Golden Knights. I don't think we'll see these Knights again in the series. It's the first time I can recall watching them give up on their game that badly - sloppy effort, puck management, and devoid of the coherent and strong team game they typically play. The Oilers ought to be ready for a completely different, far tighter and faster Knights in a few days.

Looked like alot of guys were right when they were saying that the Oilers need to get used to Vegas forecheck after playing the Kings 1-3-1. Massive statement game, Oilers PP and certain players like Kane seem to be in Vegas head.
The series is far from over, but it looks very good right now for the Oilers.

Series is getting really interesting and this place is like grave yard?

Oilers shifted second gear and Vegas didn't have answer.

If this keeps as it was this will be gentlemen sweep.

PP worked
PK worked
5 vs. 5 steered Vegas in to corners without weapons to come out.
Goaltending got back to normal level
RNH, Hyman and Kane woke up
Everyone raised skating intensity and compete level
Next on the home ice.

I missed the first period last night but from what I did see I got the impression that the officials seemed to be somewhat ticky tacky in their calling of the game. I also got the impression that they were leaning a bit towards penalizing Vegas a bit harsher, at least when the game still mattered.

If it were called the other way I would be annoyed, as an Oilers fan. Obviously I'm glad we won the game but I'd be a hypocrite and dishonest if I didn't at least acknowledge the effect of the reffing.

Here's hoping that game 3 officials have less of an impact. It always feels a little gross when the refs stick their fingers that far into a game, regardless of who wins.
