Such a great time at the game last night! Had two "enthusiastic" Kings fans wind up sitting in front of us halfway through the 1st who did a lot of chanting and whatnot...we all lost our **** on the tying goal, highlighted by one of them picking my six-four, 230 pound frame up off the ground in the first row of the upper terrace.

Strolled by the post-game show on the way out prior to filming starting...told OD he is a stud and we could use him in place of Regher next game, to which he grinned. The awesome troll job, however, was Kent French playing with his cell phone and me yelling out "You can check the score on your phone Frenchie but they still lost!"

Again...what an awesome experience. All the rage I had walking out of the Stadium Series debacle got flipped on its ear last night. Lot of hockey left to play but, at present, I was in person for the most important game in Kings/Ducks history and the Kings came out on top in their barn.

 was thinkin the same thing Heyward's a freakin moron. On the OT goal apparently Kopitar's another one of the kings who was quite. Was he not watching the game he had a hand on all three goals! :shakehead

Quiet assassins.

Really though, will be extremely worried about the D if we have to stroll out Schultz with Voynov or something. Can't imagine they call up someone else at this point but it would be nice to have another option.

Did I actually hear "Beat LA" chants last night??

Youd think they would have a little creativity and come up with something fresh.

>>>>>Since there is no call up today i think we will see Schultz or Mitchell made a miraculous recovery.<<<<<

I think what will be announced, is an announcement of a group of players getting called up...all the black aces:

My guesses:

Berube, Bodnarchuk, Forbort, Campbell, Schultz, McNabb, Miller, (possibly Gravel, but he's not signed, so maybe not??) Shore, Weal, Vey, O'Neill, Andreoff, Sabourin, Mersch and Dowd.

And Fraser, I suppose. Perhaps Kitsyn too.

I think LA earned their fortune last night and I don't think Anaheim played that much better than them. Ducks even caught some breaks on both their goals thanks to Quickie.

Still that being said, it is going to be a tough series. I have no gut feeling about it one way or another.

that's the story here: the team finally scored enough goals to cover Quick for a change.

Well Rosen said many of the Manchester guys will be up here soon which is probably why there isn't any call ups since their season is done.

Random but what happened to Nagy when he was on the kings. I know he got injured but he fell off the map. What happened to him when he was a king?

At least I know he's done two tours in SHL with Modo. Was dominant at times but too inconsistent.

Oh no...

All but certain that Jeff Schultz, who does have previous playoff experience, will replace Robyn Regehr in Game 3.

I was watching the game at a sports bar, was wondering if anyone has video of the incident that caused Regehr's injury. I'm aware that it was the collision with Selanne, but it didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary.

How exactly was Jeff Schultz a +50 in 2009-10?!

He played with Mike Green and the Capitals tore the league up in goals for that season.

So, who do you guys think Schultz plays with? If he's replacing Regehr I guess the safe assumption is Voynov.

Muzzin-Doughty
Schultz-Voynov
Martinez-Greene

Pray to the Hockey Gods that the Kings stay out of the box and that Doughty can withstand 30+ mins of hockey throughout the rest of this series.

Jeff Schultz looked startled when he walked into interview room and saw dozen reporters waiting for him...he will replace Robyn Regehr

I think it may have been a hit he layed on Smith-Pelly. They showed replay of it once last night's broadcast. He seem to be laboring a bit after that hit. But, they cut away before I could get a good look.

Just brutal.... Kings got a good chance getting through the Ducks.... Just don't know how far that D is going to get the team.

Forget experience. I'd much rather have Soup than Schultz. He looked decent enough in a few games at the end of the season. Maybe he can be the next Scuds. Maybe I won't wake up from this dream. :sarcasm:

If he plays a simple game and is played protected minutes i think he does just fine. The tough thing will be that the ducks have the matchups at home.

I think the real problem is if both regehr and mitchell are down we have to split the plugins up. Our second pairing wouldn't be Voynov Martinez, it would be Voynov/Schultz and martinez/greene, or at least that's how i interpret sutterworld.

I think they roll 5 Dman with Schultz getting spot duty. If comes in when someone needs a break or after a PK or PP for a shift so until the pairings are "normal" again. Doughty said that the five guys liked playing that way. Schultz will be a plug Hopefully he will not be needed because Doughty is in the box.

About him, worried, I am not.
