Starting is a totally different animal than coming in in relief though. Even Campbell looks like an NHL goalie in that situation. We've had a couple days to plan around Hill now. Let's see if it makes a difference.

How? How is a different animal? Does the opposition decide to start shooting muffins? Does the mother team lose the will to win? Numbers show that Campbell stopped 27 of 28- were those numbers just made up? Please explain the logix

Most teams change their style of play when they are up three goals, yeah. Playing against a team that is protecting their lead isn't the same as starting a 0-0 game. Not to mention the difference in the pressure on the goalie between the two situations. No matter what Campbell did in either of his relief appearances the loss wasn't going to be on him. Makes it easier to play, especially for a goalie like Campbell who is notorious for struggling with the mental part of the game.

I'm also assuming that LA and Vegas didn't spend a lot of time planning around Campbell being in net, much like the Oilers didn't game plan for Hill. I'm sure our coaching staff has been working on that over the last couple days and we have a better idea of what his weaknesses are now.

Campbell has been good in relief, but people are kidding themselves if they think he is a legitimate starting option in the playoffs. He has been one of the worst goalies in the NHL all year. Skinner has bounced back every time.

Just bring a solid effort. I don't know why this team stopped skating once Hill had to jump in last game. It's like all their controllers got disconnected or something. Show up, play hard and that's all I ask for. They were able to rebound last series and win the next 3 being in the exact same situation. Would be nice to do that this series as well. Either way if they lose tonight it's over. A must win. lol
