He meant calling a ticky tacky penalty that happens 30 times a game. Which the refs have been doing. If you're going to call that, call it every time or don't call it at all. I prefer the latter.

I think many of them will call something when they've "had enough" or "seen enough" of it.

Which sucks because it creates a huge grey area that is entirely dictated by that official's emotions.

In the last two games, I've seen Pearson take shifts were he absolutely CONTROLS the possession end of things. Then I look at the ice time and see 9:52 .....?! What gives? Give that kid more ice time!!!!

He also spent most of his time against Koivu, Cogliano, and Silferberg. I guess Sutter wanted a particular matchup there, and wanted to make sure Pearson was out in relatively "safe" situations.

He had 2 very bad turnovers last night that led to Duck scoring chances.
I do believe Pearson and Toffoli deserve PP time. Why not the current PP is sputtering.
At this point Toffoli is just not strong on the puck and Carter is afraid to mix it up (Probably due to an injury) Pearson is doing almost all the dirty work.

How can they score a PP goal if the refs should just swallow their whistles.

If you are going to take it that literally, might as well go one step farther and wonder how the refs will even call the game if they have a metal object floating around in their stomach. Hell, if they aren't going to call anything, why even have refs, right?

I'm simply saying call clear cut penalties. The high stick by Voynov was a high stick. The hook by Gaborik that created a turnover in the neutral zone that could have lead to a scoring chance. The slash by Doughty, the board by hyphenated last name are BS calls and don't belong in the playoffs. I want to see the teams play 5 on 5 as much as possible. If there is a clear cut call, make it. If stuff is borderline, let it go. Pretty simple. Obviously there are going to be a few calls in a game for and against. It is up to the Kings to capitalize on their chance(s) and stop the Ducks on theirs. Not a very complicated concept.

Did anyone happen to notice Selanne whirling around in the neutral zone while his guy (Muzzin) glided to the net unscathed to score the first goal? I was wondering what the f he was doing. I guess that is Bruce BBQ Boudreau hockey.

Him and perry do that all the time, always trying to cherry pick and that is why they look like they are flying past us when the puck bounces off someone or is turned over they are gone and we look like we are standing still, and one of the reasons why BB has had trouble in playoffs over the years

Just bought my tickets. Pretty funny that I sold Game 3 seats at $149 a piece but I can get better seats to Game 7 for $140. Splurged to bring the girlfriend as she was in attendance for Games 1 and 6 so I had to get her back out there for Game 7.

As for Pearson, I thought he was awful last night. A couple of brutal turnovers with one leading directly to a goal against. Thought he looked timid with the puck on his stick.

Yep - one of the worst games i've seen from Pearson so far in the playoffs. Not good with the puck on his stick and bad decisions when he did have the puck. He did have a couple of good shifts, but they were few and far between.
