Yup. Thought it was a save, but the score is 1-0 with the correct time on the clock.

That's too low, probably ES time or something. Think it was something like 17, 16, 16, 13.

My guess is they're really unleashing Stoll for ES play and prioritizing the other guys for special teams.

That is one exceptionally talented D corps there. Have to love that bunch on its own. Room to add two more to fill in and or give us a different look. Should be fun to see what happens next season.

It really is, I think we will see two new additions to our defense this year at Most and one at least.

I'd love to see McNabb Doughty pairing.

That would just be amazing.

Pronged Niedermayer dynamics is an amazing combination to have.

I'm certainly excited to see what becomes of McNabb. He's not quite the force that Pronger was, but I think he could be an excellent pairing for Doughty. I'm actually liking what i've seen from Muzzin so far in the playoffs. He still has the occasional brain fart, but it is nothing like it was last year.

I think you need to back way up. The kid has played in 37 games over his ELC. He has some potential but your setting him up to fail by this comparison. And anyone that actually believes this for disappointment when he's not this.
 
I think we're seeing Muzzin establish himself as Doughty's partner for the foreseeable future, something I'm having fewer and fewer complaints with. At least until he gets killed or we find someone better.

Oh for sure. I'm not saying McNabb has prongers skill, not at all.

But they do have similarities.

Height, hard slap shots, very physical, and intimidating. Just big guys.

I think Muzzin will get much better he just needs to put his game together as whole and build up confidence. And he needs to bulk up a bit.

This isn't a knock on Muzzin at all, I think keeping him on the second Pairing would be fine.

I personally want someone big and physical by Doughty to sort of keep other players on check too in case they try to run him like last game.

It sure seems like a lot of Stanley Cup champions have had a big, imposing force on the defensive end. I'd love to have a guy like Pronger/Chara on my team, any day of the week.

No doubt about it. If McNabb really does blossom and become a regular with Doughty, I can see teams having a real issue with that pairing.
 
On a side note, how about stoll laying out Perry in the 2nd period? We need more of that.

I loved roenicks post game comment, that Perry was on his ass just as much as him skating.
