That is irrelevant to calling Bednar an idiot. He may not be an idiot but he is a useless coach.

You are not gonna be very happy with any coach if you aren’t with Bednar lol. Top 3 coach in the nhl that has his inexplicable go-to guys on occasion but he most certainly gives young players chance if they deserve it. Problem is, we have few that do. No coach is infallible by the way. I’m curious, how can a coach be useless when they’ve literally won the championship at every level he’s coached at?

It's kind of hard not to see the Avs coming out victorious, but i don't necessarily know why that seems like such an inevitable outcome. The Jets are a very deep team with some good talent at the top end, solid blueline, and an absolutely massive edge in net. Really shouldn't be writing them off like that. For some reason, that's just the prevailing impression i get, and seems to mostly be the consensus. Maybe just giving the Avs too much credit for prior playoff experience and performance?

If Avs play like they did tonight it would take historically bad goaltending to lose the series. Avs had dominant advanced stats pretty much across the board, having the best statistical game of the playoffs so far by any team by a really wide margin.

I don’t expect it to continue like tonight though, the Jets will tighten up and not bleed so many scoring chances against

Why would he? Unless Anunnen legit can't play, what other options does he have? The kid that was on the bench tonight never played an NHL game and it would be unfair to put him in that spot. Georgiev had to take that one on the chin regardless of the score with Annunen sick/not dressed

They still need saves with how they play regardless, if they play more defensive than the whole point of their system goes out the window and guys are too tired to push play the other way.
