Hey boys I'm here to jump on your bandwagon. I picked Wild in 7. We've got more experience and these pretty boys in Dallas fancy game won't hold up long.

Who's our edgiest player this season?

Welcome to our bandwagon! You're the first one to arrive.

Our edgiest player has to be Nino, I think.

Another year, another terrible 1st round schedule by NBC Sports

Seriously, our earliest start time in the first 4 games is 8pm and that's our weekend game?

Too many slumpers at the moment. They'd especially need Zucker to step up. Stars is a very beatable team, though. Got lucky with the matchup but will fall short (DAL in 6) because of key guys not having enough input. Prove me wrong, Wild! :)

He's been terrible, shown me absolutely nothing that indicates he can be effective. Very weird how he has fallen off a cliff. He's injured IMO or too wrapped up in off-ice things maybe. Something is up there.

Wild can win for sure, the fact that my brain tells me they likely lose in 5 is exactly why I think this goes 7. Stars are not proven, it's hard to win in playoffs and Wild are a proud veteran bunch who will play well in round 1. If they don't show up for this series, as others have said, I think it's time for rebuild.

Head says Stars in 5, heart says Wild in 6.

This team is so weird this year. Might be the streakiest team ever. The past few years I have had the feeling (as have most people) they were going to make a deep run in the playoffs, only to get dumped by the Hawks. This year nobody thinks they stand a chance at all, so I have a weird feeling this might be the year they make that run.. Who am I kidding.. I have no idea what the expect or feel about this group. Look like the best team in hockey at some points, and look like they should all be in Iowa in others....

Coyle, Nino, Zucker, Haula, and Granny all need to be at the top of their game if the Wild are going to do anything.

Wild have to stay at home defensively, win, or at least tie the special teams battle, and counterpunch offensively. Zucker and Haula would help with that, big time.

Zucker doesn't deserve to be in the line-up and we should play extremely aggressive, not looking to counterpunch them but get pucks in and battle for them. I know its been half a season since we've done this whole "puck battle" thing but we should be well rested and ready to do it again.

Edge? We don't play with that. Well Carter, Stoll, and Prosser do I guess, though who knows if any will play.

I wouldn't complain so much about the start times if we could actually watch the game on NBCSN. FSN is such a joke. From the play-by-play to the clueless blonde back in the studio, everything seems off.

LOL if Carter, Stoll, and Prosser are considered our "edgiest" players, we are one lame team. Wish we had Clutterbuck over Nino for just this reason.

Carter loses his temper and takes a bad penalty so easily isn't not even normal.

Except Nino can actually play offense and has good puck possession skills. Clutterbuck was always about getting hits and it cost him being out of position quite a bit of time.

Clutterbuck hits more than Nino but Nino loves to start [crap] in front of the net. When Nino is playing his best game he's got just as much of an "edge" as Clutterbuck, but with actual offensive abilities.

A place.
So how frothy has the national media gotten about our first playoff series against the team that was stolen from us?

This would obviously kill us if true. The vibe I'm getting is not a good one on the whole situation.

Is it wrong though that I'd take Haula over Parise right now? His line has been a bigger threat for a while now. Don't get me wrong, we need Parise, but Haula and Nino together just works so well at the moment. And Parise is too banged up.

I hate to sound like such a negative Nancy but I've never been so unenthusiastic about making the playoffs in my life. I just don't like our team. I like certain players but the collective group as a whole just irritate me now.. The attitudes, the post-game comments (especially after the game 81 loss) the fact that every veteran is having a career worst year. It just feels like they couldn't care less about anything but themselves.. As much I want to see Minnesota win a cup I almost feel like this team deserves to be swept in the most embarrassing fashion possible. I can't believe I'm even typing this but between the on-ice product, the post game rhetoric, the lackadaisical "we only play when we feel like it" attitude.. This team has completely made me not like them. I feel like they don't deserve any reward what-so-ever because of what we've seen from them this season, and especially the last 5 games..

Now with that said, I hope they are just that confident & that good that when they truly need to play top tier hockey they can just turn it on like a light switch and prove me 100% wrong. Nothing will shut me up faster than watching the Wild come out and somehow just shut Dallas down in like 5 games. As much as I hope we go on some tear a la the 2012 Kings, coming in as a low ranked 8th seat and then just hitting the gas. I just don't feel good about anything involving this season. That coupled with Minnesota's collective sports history & now the fact that it seems like so many key players are injured. I just see us getting rocked & then blaming it on injuries and a green coach.. I hope I'm wrong, so wrong but meh... I don't think I am..

I also love the Islanders and have loved them since my mom got transferred to NYC the same year the North Stars left so technically I've loved them for longer than the Wild have even been a team so at least I have an east team to root for too but ya, I think these may be the lowest expectations I've ever had and that's pretty sad.. We should be hella stoked that we're in the playoffs! but I think this teams attitude & play have just jaded almost everyone.. We sound like the most downtrodden fanbase of any team in the play-offs by a country mile but with that said, I don't think anyone could blame us..

go wild I guess.. woo whooo

Why does something so wrong feel so right?
