I don't think this series is as close as a lot of you guys think it is. Can you name one kings player that has outperformed his counterpart on the blues?

Maybe brown, but that is it.

Brown outplayed Schwartz both nights. Steen outplayed Williams Game 1, Williams outplayed Steen tonight. Williams has been outstanding. Both second lines haven't been great but the Kings has been better. I haven't seen that McDonald and Stewart line do jack all series. Third line, meh. Fourth line, Blues.

It's mostly defense where the Blues have WAY outplayed the Kings.

Bernier+Fraser+Penner+3rd should catch something good. Or something like that.

Penner is a UFA

Johnny B is a RFA,

Fraser is a fourth liner.....

A 3rd round pick from a playoff bound team.....

That would net you a player like Dwight King(roster player with upside). .

To be honest, all we need is a healthy team, a top-six winger, and a Veteran defenseman. That'll throw us right back into the fold.

bernier, stoll, king should be on the block.

Nope. If you think the Kings should turn over the roster you gotta go way higher. And if you think it's not a good idea to do that this summer and wait one more year to see if this team comes through a season with a training camp a lot better, stand pat.

This could all be a moot point and the Kings could win four of five. It is WAY too early for this.

Cap is going down, the Kings can't really turn the roster over. Have to almost stand pat.

The only real move is trade a core player, or not renew contracts.

Honestly. Let me just ask. Is anyone okay with trading Richards for a real good left winger?

Or how about Justin Williams for a first line left winger in a package? Just wondering who'd be okay with it.

Please, someone give me the details of a play where Keaton Ellerby f'd the Kings tonight.

No where. He's been steady if unspectacular. Muzzin on the other hand I can point out a few times he's derped out there and they're usually big ones. But he had one good month so he gets more of a pass than Ellerby.

J-dub was probably the Kings best forward this year....

That would create quite the hole on RW. Tofolli is not JW nor is Vey or Pearson(yet).

Dean Lombardi is not going to trade Mike Richards.

Dear god no. Filling one hole only to open another.

I think Quick has the right attitude here. Rather than let his teammates take flack for poor performances in front of the media, he has taken it all upon himself, no excuses. That's a leader and should put any questions about mental fragility from earlier this season to bed. If these guys step up their game and he keeps playing his, no matter how far down we are, we'd have a shot.

You're confusing lack of effort with lack of production.

No, I am not.

Mike Richards has no motor this season. I really think he is on the downside, just to many years of giving and taking a beating. Outside of the PP he was a non-factor this season, and he was a defensive liability 5 on 5. He still has great game sense and is a smart player, but physically he is limited. I don't think this is who Dean expected to get when he made the trade.

I was grilled earlier in the year when I said the Kings need to go forward with the expectation that MR is just a really good 3rd line center who can run the point on the PP rather than an elite 2nd line center, the good news is we have an elite 2nd line center in Carter, now it's time for Dean to upgrade on the wing.

Greene-Martinez is the 3rd pairing I want to see. Get the band back together. Marty hasn't been great this season, but he has 4 rounds of experience leading to a Cup.

No need to trade JW. If anything, trading JW would creat another hole. We just need to add a 2LW and 3LW. Personally, I'd be thrilled if we added Morrow and Torres.

Yeah, come on. The series isn't over (well it ain't!), and there's no chance Muzzerby is a thing beyond this season. This team is still in good shape, longterm, with some adjustments.

It's hard to win the Stanley Cup. It's harder to win it again.

Brian Elliott is a good goaltender. Doesn't have the name and groomed to be a starter pedigree but he works his ass off and gets the most out of his ability.
