Greene-Martinez is the 3rd pairing I want to see. Get the band back together. Marty hasn't been great this season, but he has 4 rounds of experience leading to a Cup.

Both are nursing injuries.

A-Mart may not even be able to play. Sutter gave him no games down the stretch.

There is no reason to put Marty on IR, cause there is no one to call up.

you need to look at his stats the last 13 games.

i have, you can look at last years as well they were probably better then quick's, i just think you just dont pop out of know where. he's largely a product of the team in front of him.

Dear god no. Filling one hole only to open another.

The Kings have two centers in Kopitar and JC, and Stoll was great this year, that still lets the Kings keep with the strength down the middle philosophy. It also gives them more cap flexibility going forward. Stoll is signed for 2 more years at 3 mill a season, Richards is signed for 7 more years at 5.75 million. Quite a bit for a guy who struggled at ES this season.

If the Kings could get a really good winger with a similar cap hit they would be dumb to not look at it.

I think Brownie should call a player's only team meeting. Not a serious talk but a re-orientation meeting and state "What is expected from themselves and each other" and "what dedication really means" from each individual. The "just keep doing what we've been doing and things would work out" talk is not going to fly now.

William admitted they were trying to win the game 1 nothing and didn't push hard enough for the second goal.

No ****. That was pretty obvious from the start of the third period.

That strategy fails 100% of the time.

For those of you looking ahead to the summer and what options the Kings may look at for 2nd line LWs, they could sign Filppula, an impending UFA. He's a forward capable of playing LW and C who can help setup Carter and Richards, oh and he can win faceoffs too.

a lot of the kings offseason moves depend on if WM is coming back.

I keep watching that hit on Shwartz from Brown and still confused on what he was doing.. I don't know if his timing of the hits are off or what. But, he looks reckless out there and I hate seeing that. No idea where this is coming from..

Buffalo is going to want a nice return, Think Carter/Slava.

Vanek is the face of the Franchise.

Vanek also said himself that he would move if the Sabres need him to. He is gonna be a UFA soon, his value should not be too out of reach and he currently has an awful contract. With the cap going down, Sabres may very well move him.

From what I have heard, he is asking for a big payday, I don't think he is that much of an impact player but definitely still a great player. If DL can work his magic, I would love to see Filp be a King.

I like Richards a lot. But I think he's expendable. He doesn't really have that finesse. I don't know IMO Richards is expendable. If we can get a vanek for a richards trade. Something like that. Or another player. Id be for it. Realistically Richards is a small guy that can be a big game changer but he doesn't do it a lot.

Vanek would fit the kings easily. He scores kings goals.

You guys need to get moving Richards out of your heads.....

The GM is Dean Lombardi.......Let me say that again....Dean Lombardi...

Mike Richards is going nowhere, he is the wet dream of Lombardi.

The guy is going to retire a King.

You can disagree with that , but your are in for years of disappointment if you think Lombardi is every going to move that guy(regardless of production)....

Just look at Stoll......You think Lombardi is going to move Richards ?

No, I am not.

Mike Richards has no motor this season. I really think he is on the downside, just to many years of giving and taking a beating. Outside of the PP he was a non-factor this season, and he was a defensive liability 5 on 5. He still has great game sense and is a smart player, but physically he is limited. I don't think this is who Dean expected to get when he made the trade.

I was grilled earlier in the year when I said the Kings need to go forward with the expectation that MR is just a really good 3rd line center who can run the point on the PP rather than an elite 2nd line center, the good news is we have an elite 2nd line center in Carter, now it's time for Dean to upgrade on the wing.

Maybe Richards isn't in the best shape, but I don't think he's in the decline of his career either. He's a solid 2nd line centerman and I'm good with that.

As for Richards as the 3C, I don't think that would be good asset management. You're talking about putting a 5M player as our 3C. Heck, I think we're already overspending with Stoll there with his 3M+, so, I definitely don't want Richards there.

I just looked over Richards stats for the past two seasons and he actually had a better season this year than he did last year.

maybe richards is injured or still recovering from his concussion. :sarcasm:

in all seriousness the guy needs to work out in the offseason.

You must think DL is an idiot if you think his fascination with Richards is gonna be strong enough to cost him his job. Thats bad management.

Lombardi built this team from the ground up, Richards is his type of player.

It's not hard to see. Open your eye's.

Who is going to fire Lombardi ? AEG ? That puppet they have as president now ?

Lombardi brought the first cup in 45 years, and is in charge of ALL Hockey operations....

If Mike puts up an average season next year.....He is going no where.

He doesn't even have to be good, just average.
