It's been brought up in what I feel is a very facetious way of saying if they want to make sure to get every call right shouldn't they be able to do this.

It's a total straw man argument. But it claims that the play should never have been able to go back the other way because it should have been blown dead and had a face off.

McNabb still got some shifts late in the game and OT, but McBain's last shift was at 42:40 with Muzzin. What's that, 17:20-16:45 in the third? 8 shifts in the game, lengthy absence after his 4th. Probably overanalyzing but yeah he got shut down early.

Forbort is just as good or better than Gravel, and is used to playing the left side. Gravel is like Martinez and usually only plays the right side even though hes left handed. Gravel is only plus 4 in 55 games with the Reign, on a team where plus minus is much higher for lots of players. He is not all world, and has some weaknesses. Contrast that with Forbort sitting at plus 13 in 40 games, McDermid sitting at plus 24 in 56 games, and Loverde at plus 19 in 56 games. He does give up some goals. I think Forbort is better defensively, and more physical. But DS doesnt really think any of the Reign players are physical enough, and they are not as physical as Schenn. But both Forbort and Gravel get to loose pucks and use their reach well, and are not the turnover and screen machine that Schenn is. Imo

Yep. I hope game 4 and 5 prove me wrong and you right. I'm not holding my breath though. The Kings adjusted to SJ play by having C way back to belp out all tge time. And they still got great chances of sluggish and slow breakouts. This ultimately leads to little or no offense for the Kings. 1 shot through 18 minutes or so in the third period? Kings were on their heels, and got the break they needed. They are going to need a few more breaks with this kind of play. But who knows!! Anything can happen. Keep your fingers crossed. The Kings PP is going to have to score!!!

Are you saying you would put Gravel or Forbort out there for Schenn who played over 20 minutes last game?

For me the discussion is about Gravel or McBain. If Forbort was with the big club than I would say Forbort or Gravel or McBain but he isn't so that is a discussion for another day.

As Martinez is out does it not makes sense for his replacement to Martinez like?

seems ludacris to me. If a d-man is coming out for Gravel it is McBain not Schenn.

I could see this going either way--Game 3 was our last gasp and we crap the bed again tonight, or Game 3 was a wakeup call, playoff Doughty shows up, and we're just totally merciless.

I expect a lot of heart there either way, should be fun, just gonna kick back and enjoy it, since we're potentially down to two games remaining in our Kings season. GKG!

my two cents: another ot, another lak win. at the moment the difference between two teams is zero, a surgical scalpel is needed to divide them. but as the game will go on, kings will appear stronger and stronger. kill the will in them, slowly & with patience. **** them. as the song goes: "**** you until you die, bury you and kiss this town goodbye"

I'm calling out Toff. As the biggest Toffoli fan it's been a joy to watch this guy come up through the system on to leading this team in GOALS and PLUS/MINUS... two pretty hefty stats to lead your team in your young career. However he's had little to no looks and he's been relatively weak on board battles when I think his cycle and dot to board play has often been overlooked when talking about Tyler's strongpoints.

I wouldn't be surprised if it came out that he had an injury, he's not looking quite like himself in these first 3 contests. But if he IS healthy... time to show up #73! We need you to help pad that score since I'm really nervous about some of our slow D-men.

Just make the first save, so we can break that current bad habit we have.

I agree though, oddly, the more rubber Quick sees, the better he plays. Makes sense though.
