I guess the last cup run was too easy, so they decided to take the hard path this time...you know, adversity and stuff :sarcasm:

CBC said something about the whole adversity thing. Something along the lines of, "Is there really more adversity than the Kings have faced these playoffs?"

Are we still mediocre? :sarcasm:

Yes. We are still mediocre and still lucky and still had the easiest road to the cup before and never faced any "good teams" to win it before and everything else everyone has and ever will say about us.

We of course will point to our Cup, or two Campbells our Jennings and hopefully another Cup and laugh but yes, to the rest of the league there will always be excuses for why we are so good but in the end we all know the truth.

I've been waiting all series to finally post. This Stanley Cup run wouldn't have been the same if the Kings did not meet the Blackhawks at some point. Shark's and Duck's were icing on the cake. Losing last year to Chicago sucked, so awesome they won it on overtime, game 7 no less! What a series....and Game 5 OT.....wow, if there was ever an example to show what west coast hockey is all about, that 8 minutes is it! GKG!

Upcoming birth of my first child + LA back in the SC Finals = Amazing Awesomeness!

WOW!

Congrats on what is the greatest experience of anybody's lifetime. I am a father of one of the most amazing sons and equally great daughters and can't think of anything that I would trade for any of the time I have been lucky enough to have with either of them.

You are about to be one of the most stoked people on earth and joining one of the greatest clubs of all time. All the best to you and your family.

I was back in SoCal, couldn't handle the pressure of watching OT at my parents. Went up to a bar between the third and OT. Boy is it fun watching other teams play Game 7 OT's but miserable watching the Kings.

Seriously proud of the Kings core players, tonight the Kings star players were better than Chicago's.

And as much fun as it was to actually get to celebrate with fellow Kings fans for once, I would kill to be in Chicago right now.

So Sutter jumbled some lines to end there, I think he should get credit for mixing it up.

Right?

Clifford played under 3 minutes, Lewis played under 6 - in a 66 minute game. We basically ran with 10 forwards, and it was enough to punch it over the goal-line.

This was a good series to learn these lessons, but we'll be less exposed against the Rangers, or anyone who isn't Chicago, for that matter.

Thanks. I should probably grab some sleep based on people's advice but I am socked jacked right now. This ****in team is something else.

Heart, grit, desire, determination and the will to never say die. You just have to love it.
