That's already been decided? I'd say let it play out before saying that. Lombardi knows exactly how important Scuderi has been to this team. That's why he signed him to like 4 times what he was making in Pittsburgh.



I don't know what the Kings will get in a deal involving Bernier, but my guess is that it won't be nearly what people hope.

I don't think its certain by any means, I do think Scuds can get more money from another team but I know DL will try to keep him any way possible. And with the Bernier+Martinez thing I know we won't get anything too extreme, I'm kinda hoping we can send them to the Islanders for Nino+.

The main board can shove it. We've watched this team and we've seen the heart they've played with. If they can't see how awesome this team has been over the past two years than that's just blind hate. Kings fans know how great they've been and that's all that matters.

It would be nice for other fans to acknowledge us but you know haters gonna hate.

I think it's safe to say we are gonna be a better team next year.

I don't think we can give up Stoll but he could play as our 4C. I just think it's time to make a permanent spot for Toffoli, man. The kid is that good and he's being wasted playing in the bottom 6.

He wasn't being wasted on the bottom 6, he was brought up and given time on the lower lines for limited minutes against weaker competition. It's what a lot of coaches do when a kid come up from the minors. And he is going to be on the top 6 next year, why would you think otherwise?That's why they drafted him. He's a natural RW sniper with great hands and good vision. He belongs on the top line w/Kopi, he's their best center and TT would fit well there. Williams can move to the second line, he's good with Richards. OR maybe DL gets an LW to replace Penner. It'll be an interesting summer.

Stoll is not a 4th line Center, he's done his job well on the 3rd line. If Kopi wasn't hurt for this playoff run, he Richards and SToll would have been as strong down the middle as they were last year. Injuries suck, it changes everything and they are not the first team to have that happen.

We won the cup and have proven most all of them wrong by being back in the Conference Finals all while having a great core that is under the cap and a really deep and talented system. Of course they hate us.

Envy, jealousy and flat out loser mentality is why they act that way and I say good for them. If that is the price we pay for being a great Cup contending team who has proven that last year wasn't a fluke and are set to keep running at it then so be it.

Can I just say this about the main boards/ other fanbases? If the shoe was on the other foot in say Toronto or Montreal, we wouldn't be hearing about how tight checking, defensive hockey is ruining the game. Instead, we'd be getting countless threads about how the 'glory days' are back and that we 29 other peon fanbases should be grovelling at their feet no matter how they went out and won. However, because we're LA and more often than not, end up exposing and embarrassing teams like that when healthy, they get bitter. Then they cream their pants when we lose because they have to justify their bitterness vicariously through a well-rounded team like Chicago, who might I add, would definitely skate circles around their teams too.

Let's be honest, the lockout shortened season, giant question mark on defense, recovery by Quick, and horrendous consistency by our most important players won't be around next year.

Our defense should be solidified by training camp, all the boys will be healthy and refreshed and eager to kick some ass. Quick will have a proper offseason to train (not that he needs to), a full training camp for once, and a refreshed lineup. This team will be a force.

I have been saying for months to separate Carter and Richards, load up at C, and play moneyball on the wings. We actually have a shot at that next year with Toffoli on his ELC. I can also see Lombardi targeting a young, depth LW in the Bernier trade that looks real unassuming but turns out to be pretty damn effective.

I'm just dreading another year of "Kings finally played a good offensive team and lost" rebuttals from the short bus of a main board we have here on HF.

Just remember, you can make any team look lucky when all you do is point to the faults of the opponents they've beaten.

The Hawks played the Wild, Wings, and Kings so far. Two teams that made the playoffs on the last day of the year(having to beat out the stinkin' Blue Jackets), and one of them didn't have Lidstrom(which shows you how much the Ducks suck). The 3rd team can't score more than 2 goals a game, and have made it to the conference finals, which means the West isn't all that good, and Chicago got to beat up on a lot of bad teams in a shortened season to have such a great record.

See, it's that easy. You can even do it with Boston if you want.

Speaking of training camp. Sutter has won a cup with this team and followed that up by taking them to the WCF and he has yet to have a training camp with them. That will make them a stronger team next year, a full camp with Sutter.

Most definitely. We won the Cup, and if we lose to Chicago in 5 games, as looks likely, then our overall playoff record this year will be 9 and 9. I'd have especially liked to take one more game from them, so we could end this year's playoffs at 10 wins and 9 losses, and thus over .500.

I agree.

That said I think we are going to win the next game and am calling it right here. I have never done this before but I just feel it. I believe we will win the next game and that we will give them hell when we do.

Next game is a 1 game series and WE WILL WIN.
