I was embarrassed for Canucks fans when they chanted “Let’s Go Petey!” in game 5. I get that some players get coddled, but they would burp Pettersson after every meal and read him Love You Forever at bedtime every night if they could. Nashville is a better team than their record. But making the playoffs will be an immensely difficult task. They pretty much have to play .700 hockey down the stretch.

You are talking about a guy who was third in the Canadian Junior Nationals in figure skating. He has always been know as a great technical skater. It was the primary skill he used to put himself in a position to score so many goals.

Agreed. Say what you want about the guy but his edge work is nothing short of fantastic.

Well he doesn’t use it to forecheck or backcheck. You seem to be a bit of a booster so I’ll leave it alone. I don’t see a particularly effective player, just my opinion.

Its fair to criticize his play. My only point was that he has never been a poor skater.

I am not really a booster but I have probably seen more of him than most here since he is a local kid in the sense that he played for the Rangers. Because of that I followed his early career fairly closely.
