I mean that was an amazing effort from Colorado tonight, but shutting down the Edmonton forwards THAT thoroughly is not something I can see being replicated. Francouz looked great, but he was barely tested.

I feel like Colorado has the ability to steal one of the next two games, but Edmonton is gonna bring it.

the Avs laid one egg against the Blues and collapsed after a 3-0 for their other loss. The only 2 losses. They could lose both in Edmonton, but no way are those wins coming easy. I expect a split

This is the most hypocritical thing I've read LOL. You are a homer. The oilers suck - get over it.

You shouldn't be in the WCF to begin with - lucky that every other team other than MIN/STL/COL sucks and unfortunate for those 3 teams for being on the same side of the bracket

The Oilers beat the Avs late in the year by playing a tight defensive structure. With 12 GA over 2 games (and many more missed opportunities) that's the only shot they have at coming back in this series. Adopt a defense-first mindset, or enjoy the golf course.

The guy we used to match up against your big boys like MacK/Rantanen that game relies 100% on athleticism and suffered an injury that killed said athleticism, so he just looks like a taller Esa Lindell/left handed Rasmus Ristolainen out there. We've had a lot of defensive breakdowns but we also just don't have the personnel to shut down the Avs forwards without a 100% Nurse.

Holy shit, play some f***ing D Oilers; awareness of trailers, awareness of the transition against one of the best, tight coverage in the slot, fundamentals. I said it before this series; it's the Oiler's D that will bring them down more than Mike Smith. I say this b/c I want a long series, and Trotz conditioned me. Like this Woodcroft guy for his bench histrionics, but he needs to slow the game down for his team. Smith gave them a chance to win.

Many mentioned how the Avs' D mobility would neutralize McD; tonight they did. I didn't see as much fight in him, but they took his will out of this game after the first.

Kadri has been outplaying Draisatl. Kadri is playing for a new contract and he won’t be denied. This man is on a mission.

Devon Toews still continues to be one of the most underrated defenseman in the league. Still shocks me that the Islanders gave up on him so soon. Blown away by how solid he is, and yet he makes half of what Nurse makes hahaha.
