It helps when the officials put their whistles away for them the whole 3rd...Regardless of how you feel about the game, the Oilers are very much in this series. A few people will be offended by what I just said, but they truly are.

A debatable goal that is called offside more commonly than not and power play goal as a result of a challenge on the aforementioned goal more than make up the one hooking call that was missed. Not to mention missed calls the other way.It helps when the officials put their whistles away for them the whole 3rd...
Would you like to debate the two friendly icings where the Oilers D gave up going for the puck at the blue line? There is enough evidence. Makar's goal was good. Just some experts chiming in.A debatable goal that is called offside more commonly than not and power play goal as a result of a challenge on the aforementioned goal more than make up the one hooking call that was missed. But that's exactly what I meant: people get offended at the thought of the Oilers keeping up.
Again, the call seems to be based off the discretion of the refs and it's been shown in previous examples. This time it went Colorado's way. Those icing didn't result in game changing goals the way the offside call did. There was also 1-2 hooking calls missed on the Avs.Would you like to debate the two friendly icings where the Oilers D gave up going for the puck at the blue line? There is enough evidence. Yup, thanks for confirming that Sakic outbid Holland for a goalie who is barely holding a sv % of 900 in the playoffs. Sums up why Sakic should be fired before Holland. If Holland outbid Sakic, that would be plain stupid to the next level. You know he out bid Holland for Kemper right?
Self awareness seems to be in short supply for you. Still a little bit mad your boys aren't playing, huh?Standard blame the refs
At least Oilers fans actually have something to blame at this point in the season. I heard it is warm in Toronto today. Great weather for golfing.Standard blame the refs
This has great-grandpa vibes. How old are you? That was not playoff hockey. It was an exhibition all star showcase pond hockey game. Honestly these series in the west have mostly been an embarrassment. The goaltending is horrific, there is not an ounce of defense being played, there is no physical play, no intensity. After watching this game, now watch tomorrow and how quickly the difference in level of intensity will be. Anybody who likes the garbage that was on tonight is too enamored with go go go more more more. Flash and Dash. People going gaga over Makar, my opinion, I still take a defenseman like Hedman over him any day.
So much wrong here... I predicted this goes to 6-7... But cool be wrong.Again, the call seems to be based off the discretion of the refs and it's been shown in previous examples. Stop being so butt-hurt by the Oilers actually being in the series. It's a poor look.
He was turning 40 when Orr scored the goal. This has great-grandpa vibes. How old are you?

Who specifically is this addressed to? It's also a poor look when you randomly shout something like this to the heavens.Again, the call seems to be based off the discretion of the refs and it's been shown in previous examples. Did you even read the original post and responses between me and the poster I quoted? If so, you'd be able to figure it out for yourself.Who specifically is this addressed to? It's also a poor look when you randomly shout something like this to the heavens.
Fair enough. To answer your question: no. I might have them on ignore. Or I'm not sure why I didn't see them.Did you even read the original post and responses between me and the poster I quoted? If so, you'd be able to figure it out for yourself.
So much wrong because there was only missed calls on one side or what? You can literally go through play by play and see missed calls on both sides. So much wrong here... I predicted this goes to 6-7... But cool be wrong.
Or more likely you will see when either one of these teams face the East champ that guys like McDavid, Mackinnon, Makar and gang will suddenly look very pedestrian. Just wait and watch. 9 times out of 10 Vasilevskiy and Shesterkin are not giving up more than 2-3 goals to ANY team. So these west teams would have to learn how to win games 3-2 and 2-1, I do not think they are capable of that.If you want to be a Debbie downer then to each their own, but just stick to baseball 1-0 complete games. Avs had plenty of intense ozone sequences, good minute+ of ozone cycle domination. Was there some weak goals, sure, but there was also a lot of bardown, cross crease crisp passing plays. Goals were basically scored in every form.
It'll tighten up a little, always does, but there's way more offensive firepower in this series. As an oiler fan, whatever team comes out of the west is going shock the east coast "defensive king" babies, with how lethal these offenses are.
Look at the Avs series vs the Blues.Or more likely you will see when either one of these teams face the East champ that guys like McDavid, Mackinnon, Makar and gang will suddenly look very pedestrian. Because I like real playoff hockey, with intensity and defense and goaltending and physical play it makes me a great grandpa? I am 40. That is the problem with today's young generation, all they are about is go go go, faster faster faster, more more more flashiness. This has great-grandpa vibes. How old are you?
And that is why St Louis is the only team I was rooting for to come out of the West because they are the only west team that plays playoff hockey. And they would have come out of the west if Binnington did not get hurt.Look at the Avs series vs the Blues.
Yes, Binnington and Husso might not be Vasilesky or Shesterkin. But St Louis is one of the most defensively conscious teams. The forwards play defense.
It is not about soft goals. It is about not a lick of defense being played. Opposing forwards are just coasting around, passing and shooting at will without any pressure or physical play against them. If you only watch Colorado and Edmonton play all year I guess you might think this is normal though.I dunno, everybody keeps talking about horrible goaltending, but how many soft goals was there really? If you count out all the softies and even take out a couple goals on top of that assuming some unreal saves, that game is still like 5-4 or something just because of the combination of offensive skill and horrible defense.
