I think you’ve taken my post a bit seriously. I enjoy the hockey plenty but I simply do not like the Oilers organization and will continue to root against them much I like I will Toronto for similar reasons.

Dallas has been the most disciplined team all playoffs. They don’t really take penalties.

It is weird. They are the most disciplined....and have the second most disciplined opponents (only to be outdone by their first round opponents)?

As do I. It’s completely reasonable to not like a team based on the makeup of personalities on a roster and the decisions made by the organization throughout the entirety of me watching hockey as a child. You see it’s similar to why people will root for a team other than their hometown team.

But I will say, my dude Anton Lander deserved better.
And Jani Rita...

You mean kind of how I root for Edmonton?

The aim for Saturday is not to win the game.

The aim is to compete, to minimize the damage on the PK (the refs will call a ridiculous amount of penalties against the Oilers) and to hammer Hintz every chance they get.

Losing the game just means it's a best of 5, great place to be for the underdog.

Winning would just be gravy.

I also thought that Tanev was supposed to smother and neutralize McDavid? What happened??
I never understood the Tanev love and hype. He didn't do shit against us in Calgary and he won't in Dallas. Tanev isn't a 27 year old #1 Defenseman yet people talk about him like he is. He is a 34 year old middling D who is gonna get outworked this series and undone by the Oilers Skill and speed, just like when he was Calgary. He is on the downswing of his career and is totally over hyped for what he brings.

yes, but there are 8 stars in the frame.

There sure are.

As mentioned earlier, seems like both teams are conducting a line change during this stillshot.

Now unless you think these players are so skilled they can leave the ice surface the second one of their teammates jump on, there's going to be moments where a team has 6, 7 or in this case 8 players on the ice.

Are they all involved in the play? Of course not.

But the ref's right there, and he seems perfectly aware of what's going on around him. :dunno:

Can we talk about how atrocious the camera angle is in Dallas? Why the f*** is a third of my screen the crowd? Why is the oblique angle allowed to cause the crowd to cover the slot in the near boards?

It's even worse because stars fans stand in the third and in ot. Stars fans, I implore you, sit down. You're ruining it for everyone.

I’m not debating why you or anyone else should not root for Edmonton. You implied I have some sort of unhealthy mental deficiency that has led to me to not like your team when that is just not the case. I was explaining why I do not like Edmonton.
Actually you haven't explained why you don't like Edmonton, you've only reiterated that you do.

Also "mental deficiency" lol. Literally everyone has confirmation biases. No need to get all up in arms, sorry if I offended you.

Bouchard makes an amazing pass by the end boards. No live game footage of the play exists cause Stars fans won’t sit down and relax.

Yeh the cam angle and crowd standing sucks.

Honestly I keep hearing gripes about the camera angle at Stars games - and it's relentless - but I guess I've just been watching their games for long enough that I don't even notice the diffrence. The way some folks go on, you'd think the cameraman's sitting in a regular seat amongst the fans and we're all looking at the back of a jersey all game.

LIke I'm not going to tune into to tonight's game at MSG and think it's a completely different vantage point from the Dallas arena. :dunno:

People have short memories of that Oilers-Flames series. People here and in the media were hyping up Tanev like he is a prime Chris Pronger!
