Most knew Taylor Hawkins as the drummer of the Foo Fighters. I knew him as a solo artist long before I knew he was a Foo. He actually was a Prog rocker at heart. Such a devastating loss. This is my favorite song of his as a solo artist, the anthemic Hell to Pay.
He played so many different styles and with so many luminaries over the years and still had time to crank out three (in my opinion) fantastic solo albums with his band the Coattail Riders. I did not realize he played Iggy Pop in the mostly meh movie, "CBGB" - yeah, the one with Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) as Cheetah Chrome from The Dead Boys.He was also Alanis Morrisette's drummer on Jagged Little Pill.

They don't f***ing miss. Album drops Friday, which I assume is named "BANGERS ONLY".
In an attempt to live vicariously through you, I will seek to get blackout hammered on Saturday as is tradition.I pre-ordered it on vinyl like 3 months ago with an Amazon Gift Card and have been counting the days since. Gonna blast the f***ing shit out of it Saturday night assuming it arrives on time.
