More like Heineman could be the one who could play with Cole, not sure Tuch is gonna be a NHL player.

WTF is happening?
Sherbrooke getting destroyed by Islanders.
0-6 in 2nd

Charlottetown is a very strong team, and they really know how to smother offenses. Their goaltender (Lapenna) is also having the playoffs of his life, and Sherbrooke clearly wasn't ready to face that team, that system.

Sherbrooke's coach will watch film, adjust his system, and his team will compete a lot better against the Islanders in the coming games.

I expect that Joshua Roy will have much more success offensively in the coming games, with all the adjustments I expect his team will make.

Thats 58 goals and 82 assists for Roy now, this season, so far.

Why are people counting playoff and regular season points together?

That and all the crazy threads all over the place (is this guy the best all time when he clearly isn't type), it seems like summer already.

What Roy is doing this year is hella impressive. Of course he still has quite a few facets to improve but doesn't make what he's doing this year any less impressive. He should be a solid top 6er for the Habs.

It's too early to tell as all fan bases think this of their top prospects when they do well in junior but still many don't make it at the next level.

He is definitely one to watch but one would think that Hab fans might lessen the hype a bit after the CC offseason last year maybe?

But like I said every fanbase has the same issue, I know many fellow Canuck fans that get way too excited about our prospects as well.

It's fine to get excited about prospects. It's part of what makes hockey so much fun to follow. So what if they don't all make it? You gotta enjoy the ride.

Putting up nearly 2ppg in the regular season and over 2ppg in the playoffs is definitely worthy of hype for a 5th rounder.

The Caufield hype seems warranted, Ducharme was really just that bad of a coach. CC still paced for 28 goals over 82 games after scoring 1 in is first 32 or something insane like that. After MSL took over he scored 22 goals in ~35 games.

We will agree to disagree on the CC hype, as for Roy, his path to the NHL is that of a top 6 forward or nothing there are still areas of the game he needs to really work on, no one ever doubted his skillset but some of the lunchbox issues will be the ones that decide if he makes it or was just another junior star.

Caufield basically cemented himself as one of the best young players in the league this season, tho?

He had a good stretch, lets see what next season brings before we get too excited.

There is no doubt that if he reaches his potential that he will be a very good top line goal scoring winger but "one of the best young players in the league" is too early to tell, maybe a top 10 guy in his draft year for starters.

I just can't see Roy going back to the Q after this season. What's crazy is Roy has a lot of areas where he can improve (skating, endurance, strength and defensive zone play). If only there was a way to transfer him to the OHL / WHL. Or maybe he just burns a year off his ELC in the AHL? Is that even allowed?

Maybe Europe?

The ridiculous CHL rules means he's stuck in Q unless he's on the Habs roster. The AHL is not an option for him until he turns 20.

I will go to my grave preaching that all drafted players should be eligible to play in the AHL.

I am with you on that. There should be a rule that allows drafted CHL players with over 100 games played to be allowed to play in the AHL.

Caufield talent is obvious. Even when he shoot the puck on a low percentage area you can feel the threat.

I would not mind to be creative and make him play in Europe.

Right. It is unfair, indeed. Non CHL(mostly Europeans) players can play in the AHL before being 20.
